  • I realy dont care what color of that plane is..Most i care abouth, be on time, personal tv's and good food..come on people..That's why all the North American airline comp's loosing money..Old planes, homeless shelter quality food and never on time..

  • Even though both airlines suck, I prefer Northwest for one reason, better percentage of on-time flights... One trip on NW I remember, there was only one of four flights (indirect service) was late, then a few years later with delta, only one of five flights (again indirect service) was ON TIME! Mostly because of "plane trouble". Delta Sucks! Next time I travel, I'm using Amtrak!

  • repaints cost up to the price of a Cessna 172 skyhawk

  • a very interesting video, I bet that repaint cost a lot of money.

In my opinion the livery would suit a DC10/MD11/L-1011 better, but its a nice livery

  • Delta and NWA livery suck

  • @WITCG1 I agree. I like NWA livery before (bowling shoe colors) and the NWA logo to then.

  • All that color scheme says to me is the flight attendants are old and ugly girls, the flight crew all walk around liek they are god and upon arrival TSA are waiting to molest you. Fly JAL, Malaysian or Singapore Airlines- better looking flight attendants, prettier smiles and great service.

  • @erikinhawaii I did meet one pretty flight attendant that I really enjoy on a LHR to ATL flight.

  • Delta colors will never catch my eye like the NWA color did!

  • Delta is kool.

  • I can't watch. It's too painful to see this NWA beauty go.

  • ..........painting a plane takes only 3 minutes and 27 seconds ;p

  • The NWA paint will always remain under the paint and in our hearts

  • Would look better with the Delta widget of the 80's with some upgrades for the modern airline industry...

  • From Northwest AL to Delta AL

  • Don't understand why they could't merge to 2 paint schemes like Continental and United

  • NWA will remain under the paint forever

  • Northwest is still around and some planes wont be merged.

  • @DJ727ROBLOX yeah they all will the last planes in nwa were retired by delta a few months ago, about the time you posted that comment. they were old planes and were retired to the scrapyard by delta.

  • A380 The Whale :D

  • 747 The Shark :D

  • Helicoopterpilot YOU BOOOOOO!!!!!!

  • Continental Is Being RIP To (:'(

  • R.I.P. Northwest, you were my first American airline and I'll never forget you.

  • @kakajax same here!

  • @lobster68w yeah ! Rip North west airlines

  • hey uh I have a question. When to airlines merge and one airline accuires the others planes. when the colors are put on.Does the registration change since it now belongs to the airline or does the registration stay the same?

  • it will always have northwest spirit underneath

  • Anyone know what the painters official jobs would be? ( what is the name of the job) no smartarse answer like painter.

  • NorthWestAirlines is out forever in B737,747,757,767,777,A319,A320,&A330.

  • 2:10 Nothing like an airline's titles written in Sharpie...

  • well that wasn`t your first Delta 747

  • @Smash6640 Their first -400, though- the 1980's ones were classic 747-100's.

  • @TheOdysseyKid I ment the one painted like the American flag.

  • da da da dada

  • Nosssa Muito Legal ñ Sabia q demorava tanto tempo !!!!!

  • Delta bought that airline so they painted it delta style

  • @JJJardina it looks the same to me. but it depends on the design that they want.

  • That is awesome. I like both liveries but there's nothing like a fresh coat of paint! $200k right there!

  • Ok, all of you assholes who are bashing Boeing and the 737... lets compare some numbers between the A320 and next gen 737 (both were developed around the same time period). A320: 4,526 produced, 795 deaths=0.176 deaths per aircraft. 737NG: 3,172 produced, 527 deaths=0.166 deaths per aircraft. Hull losses; A320 has 17 Hull losses, or 0.37%. 737NG has 8 Hull losses, or 0.25%. Boeing 737NG is the slightest bit safer, and i have a preference for Boeing, but I feel safe flying either one.

  • Look at how nice the NWA Paint looked, thats sad. Crap if it were the railroad it would have taken 10 years before they got around to painting it. 12 years after Conrail died in 1999 there are still tons of CR blue locomotives in service.

  • Go Northwest Airlines!

  • nice work delta airlines :-D

  • I like Delta Airlines, but it makes me sad seeing the NWA logo fading away in the paint and turning into Delta, well goodbye NWA.

  • Too bad Delta now has such a boring paint scheme. Can we just take the money we woulda spent on carryon bags and donate it to Delta so they can at least paint the sides of the planes too?

  • Hey look, they just destroyed the 747-400 NORTHWEST AIRLINES!

  • Delta BOOOOOO!!!!!

  • hey delta i never got my camera back it was lost on the plane on 9/29 and it still hasnt been brought back you evil bastards

  • man imagin if that was a prank you just got to and there is a big airplane saying DELTA usted of NWA wait NWA is not in flight what the .....!

  • @namenone133 dude that happened to me i was taking northwest airlines then this delta 747 rolled in to the gate and i was like what the...?

  • I can't wait for Delta to go belly up!

  • Does it take more than one day to paint

  • Good god! the Europeans are so far advanced in the air of aircraft painting. JLG lifts!?

  • @my235 JIG lifts not JLG lifts lol

  • It Will Still be The Nwa Plane

  • wow! must be hard painting a plane!

  • What a waste of a good airplane.

  • it will always be NWA forever

  • @lionking4iscomingIV Too late

  • @lionking4iscomingIV Quote: On January 4, 2011, 12 months after Northwest had ceased operations, the last planes (5 McDonnell Douglas DC-9-40s) in Northwest livery were retired.

    Guess not.

  • wow.what a beautiful livery on that proud bird.

  • 1:11 - looks like it was stripped to bare metal.

  • Hmm, I always thought that they removed the old paint before adding new. It seems that not removing the old paint adds more weight to the plane, and in turn, burns more fuel. Am I wrong here?

  • @drumbasher No, you're not wrong. It does add more weight.. but it makes more sense and ultimately more money (less confusion, and less dislike of the company for that confusion) to paint over. And anyways, I can't think of a way to remove paint. If you paint your walls.. you usually put a primer and then whatever color. It's rare to peel it, no?

  • @scaremengaviation All the aluminum structure is chemically stripped, acid etched and primed with yellow epoxy primer. At one point in this video they primed the vertical tail first, then the fuselage. It's a huge ordeal to paint one of these, especially with boom lifts. Most aviation centers that deal with aircraft this big have hangers equiped with stacker cranes, Delta owns one in Atlanta big enough, not sure why they did not do it themselves. FYI, painting over old paint is a bad idea.

  • @flyndan a380 is whale...

  • @wowdude999 A380 is two whales doing it. 747 is a whale.

  • @bluepanther1011 tell me the difference from the 747 and the a380, the a380 looks like a whale....

  • Comment removed

  • @flyndan Can't imagine what the rampers are calling the A380

  • @flyndan Rampers also call airliners birds

  • Where was the paint applied?

  • What was that? Around 7 layers of paint haha

  • These former Northwest 747's were NOT the first to enter Delta's fleet. Delta first began 747 service in 1970 and flew them for a few years before retiring them in favor of the Lockheed Tristar (L-1011).

  • @sandiegotrojandawg first 747 - 400 read descrip.

  • I never knew nwa had their own plane.

  • Just remember when you fly on one of these, It is still a true NWA plane. NWA FOREVER :(

  • @gregtube111 Why not just remember its just a hunk of steel then?

  • @gregtube111 Sadly it is still a Northwest Plane on the inside. Overhead tvs in economy, and old style buisness seats? No thanks, I'll wait until Delta redoes the inside.

  • Comment removed

  • Did they scrape out the old paint or just paint over it?

  • @LTF85199 I think they painted over it.

  • a "tribute" to NWA

  • i would love it if delta used a 747-400 on the sydney route!! instead of the 777 :P

  • @cam9408 atleast you will get 777's in sydney all we get here in tulsa OK is regional jets and 737's i have to go down to dallas to get on anything that big lol

  • American made aircrafts isnt safe. Only thing Americans care is money, not safety. 70% of all aircraft accidents are caused of American made planes. European planes are more safe, but they are more expensive and less popular in aircraft companies. Finn air buys these expensive planes and it can be seen on aircraft accident countings. Finn Air have never been on accident which have killed people.

  • @fachy1981 NOPE NOT AT ALL MIGHT NEVER FLIGHT AGAGIN THATNKS FOR THE INFO

  • @fachy1981 come on most crashes r Russian planes and the airports will hav to modify airports to fit the darn thing plus who can afford it with all this bad economy, it was suck a fail thats why airbus came out with the a350 to make up for its fail so they stole boeings idea and airbus hasent been a player scene now so they wouldnt hav more crashes smart one.

  • @fachy1981 If the computer on an Airbus aircraft were to malfunction, you're screwed, as, of course, the pilot can't do jack shit about it because the controls subsequently won't work because they relied on the computer to work, meaning everyone on board will die regardless of what the pilot does. If the computer on a Boeing aircraft malfunctioned, the pilot takes over and will more than likely perform an emergency landing with minimal injuries to crew and passengers.

    I think we win here.

  • @Quadunit404 We win here. Go and look at the history of you Boeing 737, it has taken so many lives 3 crashes last year and one crash this year Air India killing all 163 passenger. Your planes aren't safe, Americans only care for money not safety. Only cheap airlines buy 737 this is why they are killing all poor passenger.

  • @fachy1981 You know that less than 25% of the 737s produced crashed, right? 303 involved in some sort of accident or incident out of over 6300 planes is only 20.95% of the 737s that were built.

Ah, math... what can't we do without you...

  • Your 737 has taken so many lives my god, I can't even imagine. The fucktard Boeing 737 fucken fell in to a deep hole killing all 156 passenger for Air India 3 days ago. Turkish airline went down last year, then another AA went down in Jamaica. 737 aircraft of cheap airlines and poor countries. Soon like GM Boeing will also go bankrupt.

  • @fachy1981 shut up and read the comment above and see how dumb u r u dont even know about boeing

  • @moneytalks1911 you are fucken dumb ass junkee brainless American.

  • @fachy1981 NO COMEBACK MY POINT IDIOT

U CANT BELIVE WAT DADDY SAYS

  • @fachy1981 That's nice, Airbus fanboy. I ride on Boeing 737s from Providence to Tampa and back and barely experience problems in-flight.

Also, I find it funny how you favorited videos related to Boeing. If you hate Boeing so much because you are biased against America, WHY would you favorite videos about that company?

  • @Quadunit404 he has no clue what he is saying he just likes his country's airplanes

  • @moneytalks1911 I can tell.

  • @Quadunit404 its one thing to say true facts but he is just laying down crap, and he is forgetting the air force im welling to bet his country uses our f 16's instead of there crap

  • @fachy1981 Oh hey I have a new number! 4.7%! That's still pretty low.

  • @fachy1981 As far as I know these accidents were all during marginal weather. It's not about the manufacturer, it's about what really cause the accidents.

  • Boeing is now 10 years behind Airbus. Airlines that use the 747-400 will be looking to upgrade in the near future and it seems that A380 is the more popular choice. Airlines don't just want another 747 derivative. They want a completly new airliner.

Now with the delays of 787, it seems A350 will enter the market 2-3 years after 787 which should make for an interesting market. A350 can also take advantage of building second making A350 with slightly better technologies than 787.

  • Cool video. The color scheme leaves alot to be desired though.

  • The 2 companies (Boeing and Airbus) designed the 787 and the a350 for be more ecological with the earth!!

  • long live 747

  • I will miss you NWA

  • Man, it was hard to watch this video because I love NWA and it was weird seeing their Boeing 747 being changed into Delta colors!!!! NWA will never be forgetton! By the way, that blue is just smashing! Who else agrees? It is just a sharp color and i wish i had that color in my room!!

  • the boeing 747 is a sight to see.

  • the music u hear actually entirly was created by a electric guitar except for the drums and sort. Go effect pedals

  • A lot of carriers are still buying both of what Airbus and Boeing are coughing up right now. UA: Buying A350 and 787. QA: Buying both 787 and A380. Lufthansa: Buying both A380 and 748. Korean: Buying both A380 and 748...

That fachy1981 guy is a troll don't take him seriously all that stuff is just copied and pasted and spammed on other videos in response to innocent comments.

  • The CEO of Delta now was the CEO of Northwest. He left Northwest went to Delta. Ever since he left there always was talk about the merger deal long time employee of NWA..

  • Well when those 747 need to be replaced do you think airlines will choose the outdated and older 747-8 airframe that has less passenger capacity, less passenger comfort and doing all of this while using more fuel per passenger.

The choice is obvious. Airlines will choose A380. Once you have flown in A380, you will never want to fly in 747 again. The next wave of A380 will be even more efficient. In the future we can look to many improvements being made in the A380 airframe!

  • @fachy1981 "Cheap and boring" = Subjective judgments. I'm guessing you are a teenager.

The A380 is not as "green" as Airbus would like you to believe.

Every aircraft manufacturer improves product. Sadly, Aribus has problems with the vertical stabilizer remaining one with their aircraft.

  • @fachy1981 your commenting about how bad the 747 is in this video too?

We are Americans guarding our airplanes! I love airbuses and I love Boeings and I dont really care what I'm on, they are both great airplane brands.

Dont bash on others though, boeing is just trying to keep the classic look! Every new 747 they make has 30-60 more seats and they're next plane is going to be the full deck on the top too! Besides USA's economy has dropped like a rock! We cant use alot of money on making planes

  • A380 - 202 orders in 16 airlines

    Boeing 747-8 - 108 orders in 23 airlines

" Airlines will choose A380" Um... yeah, right. Even though there are less orders for the 747-8 right now, more airlines (largely cargo airlines) chose that over the A380. You lose, good day sir.

  • @fachy1981 5 Quick things you need to know about the a380 #1. it has a safety rating of 79 out of 100 747 got a 90 2# airbus itself said the a380 will not be a wide spread aircraft. 3#. a380 is not nesccesry for this time the 787 can go almost double the a380's distants and airlines cant even fill a 747 let alone a a380 4# a380 take a 60,00$ check up each month it flys and finaly 5# the 747 can be made in just under 2 months a380 just under 5 months.

  • that was a really cool video, thanks Delta!

  • Wow. I had no idea there was so much involved in painting an airplane...how many 747-400's does Delta have now? Anyone know?

  • Wasn't this in Victorville Socal Logistics, KVCV?

  • Awesome video.

  • @fachy1981

I like Boeing and Airbus since they both make great planes but you were listing 737 crashes in one of your comments so add the one of Ethiopian airlines to your list.

  • The reason the aircraft crashed was because it landed in bad weather. The 738 came out in the mid 1990's. Check your facts.

  • You're an idiot.

  • I'm guessing you don't look past what happens to Boeing. Why don't you look up the crash probability of each manufacturer. Airbus's crash rate is higher than Boeing's. And even without knowing statistics, you'd know that Boeing is safer. What happened to that AIr France Airbus plane? Crashed... why? Pilot tubes froze. The most recent 737 crashes are due to pilot error, not plane error. The 777, competing with the A330, hasn't had a fatal crash. Compare same-gen planes at least.

  • Any OLD plane (with heavy use and crappy maintenance) is dangerous weather it be a Cessna, Piper, Airbus, or Boeing. Also the 737-800 is a NextGeneration type aircraft and it wasn't delivered until 1998.

BTW, American flight 331 only crashed because the approach was hampered by bad weather and broken approach lights.

Make sure your facts are correct next time, buddy.

    A

  • @fachy1981 Over 6200 737's have been produced. You really should do the math there. Airbus will never produce a plane that can compete with Boeing's safety record, and you know it.

  • What about A380, it beats 747. A340 beats 777 as it has 4 engines and fly by wire technology. A320 is better than 737 as 737 has taken more lives than all Airbus 3times combined. Europe will always beat America in making planes and cars. Uptil now Boeing has not produced aircraft like Concorde and it will never in the future because they don't have enogh talent to produce one.

  • @fachy1981 A380 has many cancelled orders because it is not profitable. Read about it.

A320 has nowhere near the production figures to even compare itself to the 737. The 737 has a stellar safety record/hours flown.

The Concorde was never profitable enough for the airlines and was a colossal waste of jet fuel. There was never enough demand for it's speed. Boeing, Lockheed, MD, etc, could've easily built a competitor if there was demand. There wasn't. Only 20 were even built. LOL.

  • 747-8 is not going to be very successful. The last time an airline bought an 747-400 was in 2004(I think) and orders for 747-8 are slim(when compared to A380). A380 will make air travel much cheaper than it is currently because a full A380 makes more money than any other airliner that is currently in service. An A380 starts making profit at 65% full capacity!

  • @fachy1981 "An A380 starts making profit at 65% full capacity!"

If that were true, there wouldn't be as many canceled A380 orders.

You really need to check your facts on the 747-400 and other planes. The last 747-400 passenger version was produced in 2007. The new 747-8 enters service this year. Make no mistake, the 747 family will be around long after the A380 is a memory.

The fact of the matter is Airbus would've gone bankrupt years ago if not for subsidies by European govt's.

  • 747-8 is a cheap and boring replacement for the classic 747-400 series in my mind's eye. Boeing did not want to invest in an all new 747 replacement as it was seen too risky a business venture. I applaud Airbus once again for taking the risk and pushing the envelope in terms of innovation and design. I think Airbus have pushed aviation 20 years into the future whereas Boeing is still tinkering with a 1960's old rusted antique 747 design

  • @fachy1981 The USA's Economy dropped like a rock! Boeing will go bankrupt if they try to build a huge plane! The economy has to go up a little more and then Boeing will be like airbus, it will have alot of brand new planes!

  • fachy1981, I love Airbus as much as I love Boeing, if not more, but your arguments are not good. The 747-8 is going to sell in a while, companies that already have the 747-400 will prefer to buy the -8 than the A380.

  • As for Airbus and Boeing, I don't know why you people always fight against each other, they both make fabulous aircraft.

And one last thing... don't ever be racist....ever. No one will take you seriously if you say "Airbus is better because its European" Bullshit. They both have the same standards, and as time passes Boeing makes a better plane than the A320, then Airbus comes and makes a better one and it goes on. Its all the passage of time.

  • @fachy1981 The concorde was baned by world-wide law! It killed many lives and always had problems on takeoff and landing, such as the tires popping! Boeing does have the talent its just the USA's economy, its bad! last year we were about to go through a great depression! (just so you know I love airbuses as much as i love boeings) BUt airbus has been taking MANY lives lately due to the computers in the plane! The pilot has to ask the plane if it it could avoid the huge mountain in front of them?

  • Airbus did not:

    - Create the first widebody (Boeing 747)

    - Invent fly-by-wire (Concorde)

    - Create the first double-deck widebody (Boeing 747)

    - Get the honor of having the best-selling aircraft in service (Boeing 737)

    - Create the first four-engined widebody (Boeing 747)

    - Create the fastest selling widebody of all time (Boeing 787)

    - Create the first trijet (Boeing 727); in fact, Airbus has yet to make a trijet

    - Require 35 YEARS to make a 747 competitor

  • @fachy1981 Look ass hole i fly a 777 for delta airlines ive flown it for 4 months now and i fly on lots of airbuses to get to unother airport yes they are both very safe planes and all and airbus may have a better safety record but if you look at the evidence against boenig theres nothing there boeing been around 70 years or something like that and airbuse only 20 so i dont think you have a case

  • @tinkandtory dude if your an airline pilot talking like that then fuck delta for hiring such a dumbass! If you were really an airline pilot I think that you would have alot more class and truthfully better spelling! So yea keep dreaming!

  • @glicbr600 That was after a 12 hour flight idiot with 256 people on board I'd rather be well rested for my next flight than put a bunch of time into the way I spell. I think those 256 people will agree a well rested pilot is a better pilot.

  • @tinkandtory Look at the way that you talk, s sound like a little bitch in his moms basement trying to be hard and sound important! A bunch of my friends dads are pilots and sadly they have way more class than you, stick to your model rc airplane and quit giving delta a bad name, cus DAMN you making them look like the shit I took today!

  • @tinkandtory Look at the way that you handle yourself in public! You talk like a little bitch in his moms basement trying to sound important! Please stick to "Flying" your RC airplane! I have a bunch of friends dads who fly for Delta and they have so much class compaired to you! You remind me of the shit that I took this morning! And this is kind of a stupid question cuz you can easily look it up, but Mr. 777 pilot, whats your route?

  • @glicbr600 Dude what srry but I'm from Germany and learned english for the job I bet the hardest thing you ever did was shit your pants. When god was handing out brains you thought he said trains so you said no thanks dude ill take the buss.

    ASSHOLE

  • @tinkandtory You are totally making my point! You have no class cant tell me what leg you fly for delta! So quit trying you german piece of shit! I was looking at your profile and all i saw was flight sim vids nothing of you sitting in the pilots seat of a "REAL" plane, so yea done with you, YOU ASSHOLE! Little bitches on this site!

  • @glicbr600 becuase i dont have videos of the cockpit means im not a pilot youve got serous issues maybe you euro people will finally pitch in in afganistan you know why i cant have video of the cockpit becuase delta dosent want cockpit video so people from afganistan wont blow me and my passengers up! maybe you could get cockpit video ohhhh thats right you cant make videos your in compitent! BITCH

  • @tinkandtory 777 is nothing in front of a A340. A340 beats 777. Boeing aircrafts have taken many lives and they are not trust worth anymore. Americans only care for money and not safety. Airbus cares for safety and efficiency. Boeing is soon going to be bankrupt very soon. Half your country is already in bankrupt.

  • @fachy1981 WoW! your saying airbus is safer when an a330 crashed 2 days ago and thats the 3rd crash in two years!

  • @tinkandtory Wow you are talking that. Boeing has had 3 crashes in a row, one Boeing 737 of Turkish airlines. one American airlines in Jamaica, and MD 11 FedEx in Japan. The poor FedEx couldn't even leave the ground LOL.

  • @tinkandtory Which´s the BEST Life Killing plane ever?: The Boeing 737= 5900 Casualties.

Which´s the FASTEST Life Killing plane ever?: The Boeing 737= 2,5 casualties per month.

There you have Boeing beating the competition...The Best and the Fastest all at ONCE.

To save ur life...just avoid the KILLER 737.

  • @fachy1981 why, why, why, why are you so mean to boeing i mean why why bash a company that failed at 2 or 3 little things boeings been around for years twice as long as airbus airbus has always had a better sence for technology but boeing were the pioneers of the jet industry why bash them

  • @fachy1981 u idiot Europeans r stupid

  • @moneytalks1911 Europe rules you brainless junky American. LOL we together as European allies make great stuff for the world. We make the best cars BMW, MERCEDES, RANGE ROVERS. YOU GUYS MAKE NOTHING BUT CAR JUNK AND AIR JUNK LOL. THIS WHY YOUR COUNTRY IS BANKRUPT LOL UNEMPLOYMENT RATE 14 PERCENT HAHAHA.

  • @fachy1981 come on u guys make gun crap and the a380 looks lik a Sausage and if u didnt pick up on it yet airbus is trying to keep up with boeing

  • @moneytalks1911 and i ment there dumb at making planes

  • @moneytalks1911 HAHAHAHA A380 kicked your asses. 747-8 is a cheap and boring replacement for the classic 747-400 series in my mind's eye. Boeing did not want to invest in an all new 747 replacement as it was seen too risky a business venture. I applaud Airbus once again for taking the risk and pushing the envelope in terms of innovation and design. I think Airbus have pushed aviation 20 years into the future whereas Boeing is still tinkering with a 1960's old rusted antique 747 design.

  • @fachy1981 its like this IF TIGER WOODS IS THE #1 GOLFER IN THE WORLD Y CHANGE THINGS the a380 looks like crap ok u cant denie it its ceap crap airbus tryed to pass as a plane the only reason u like it is because its ur contents planes and they came out with a big plane so u freaked out and started posting crap about boeing thats not true the worlds largest airline (delta) uses more boeing than airbus u get my point of y change when u have the best by a long shot dont get to exited

  • @moneytalks1911 What Tiger Woods got to do with Airbus A380. You guys can't even make good cars what the hell you are going to compete with the Europeans in aircraft business. We made the first fastest passenger jet aircraft Concord. Up-till now Boeing has failed to put a super sonic passenger jet. Your crap GE engines fucken they are so noisy and made of thrash materials that produce so much fucken ugly sound my God. British make the best engines Rolls Royce totally soundless.

  • @fachy1981 u are so dumb i compared 2 things got it and the concord sucked did u see the crash or was that boeings tape to get people to leave airbus .the ge engines r now that loud so dont freak out. Will u stop posting about how great ur country is "it seem no one likes the 747 so magically every airline will buy billions of them scene were r the gods and boeing cant do anything" SHUT UP i wish u would stop dreaming and get a life u cant predict anything

BOEING IS 10X WAT AIRBUS WILL EVER BE

  • @moneytalks1911 A380 beats 747. 747 is nothing g now but a rusted junk of the 60s. No one wants to sit in that junk anymore.

  • @fachy1981 no it dosnt no one likes u ur the same kid who said a 737 -800 was a rusted piece of junk when its brand new come on ur saying that the a380 wont be like the 747 man all planes get old boeing just has a signature desine and people still like it

  • @fachy1981 A380 is the plane that looks unsafe.

  • Sure, and that explains perfectly how an Airbus A300 crashed off of Long Island by JFK in 2001 because the composite tail fell off the plane! I don't remember that ever happening to a Boeing aircraft. Can you explain how a number of Airbus failures with the tail falling off of the A300 series planes is not an Airbus problem? I hear it is training, but why is it that Boeing aircraft don't need such training but Airbus aircraft do?

I am not a huge fan of either, but get your facts right!

  • 2 crashes in a row in 2009. One in Feb 2009 Turkish Airlines 737-800 and one on 22 Dec 2009 American Airlines 737-800. The first crash broke the Turkish airlines to 3 pieces and killed many. The second crash for AA 737-800 after landing, the engine fell off from the wing then the wheel collapsed, then the plane overshoot the runway. So do you think that the plane called 737 is safe. It should retire. It is more then a decade old and has taken many lives then all the Airbus 3times combined!

  • Yeah, right. Who keeps the world safe? Who is the reason for the world's economy? European planes are just as safe as American planes. What are your reasons about safety?

  • Well when those 747 need to be replaced do you think airlines will choose the outdated and older 747-8 airframe that has less passenger capacity, less passenger comfort and doing all of this while using more fuel per passenger.

The choice is obvious. Airlines will choose A380. Once you have flown in A380, you will never want to fly in 747 again. The next wave of A380 will be even more efficient. In the future we can look to many improvements being made in the A380 airframe!

  • Does the DL paint go over the NW paint or is the aircraft stripped before adding DL paint?

  • The paint was stripped to bare aluminum and zinc chromate primer applied. That's the green color you see.

  • 747 is over guys. Go and look at the Air France videos of the A380 with passenger boarding inside and the videos from inside of the Air France.
