@Originalskateboards What wheels should I get for the Pintail 37? I'm a beginner buying it for cruising and looking forward to try sliding should I take the standard wheels or pick one of the options also should I buy a truck spring what is that?
what wheels would be best for sliding other than stimulus? ive been looking into gumballs or maybe zigzags.. what would you reccomend? its going on an apex 37
I'm 6'1 and weigh 180 lbs, I would use a board on side walks mostly and I want to coast on the board with little effort, which board would you suggest?
@Originalskateboards i just want original to not turn into some major corporation that every other company is i just want you guys to not be like that i just ask for you to make more effort to be like you did when you started out thank you for your time and listening to my opinions.
@TheAandTvideos thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts with us! Don't worry, we're still a tiny family owned company from NJ. Our customers mean so much to us which is why we have included rkp trucks and high performance boards to our company.
@Originalskateboards you know original i fell in love with your company because of the one thing and that is the laidback peacful longboarding. not this new freestyle stuff that all the other companies are like and i ask you please go back to the basics by coming out with a new board made for just cruising like the derringer28 that was my absolute favorite board and i never got the chance to buy one before all of your freestyle boards came out i love original and longboarding but u should think.
@QurbStomp thanks for providing us your height and weight, but please let us know what type of riding you are looking to do and whether or not you have experience! Once we know more information we can help you choose the right set up
This looks just like a pintail, excuse my ignorance, you can probably tell I dont know much about longboards but could somebody explain the difference???
@MrRubixBunny The boards in the Pintail series are newer, upgraded versions of the older boards similar to this shape and style that Original made. The Pintails are more stiff and stable than the older boards and they also are lower because they do not require the use of a riser.
hey do you guys sell freerides? cause i saw the freeride video, and im looking at getting an apex 37, if you's don't sell freerides, will the apex do similar to what the freerides do? Please respond if you can :)
@xTaxipseedx check out our Apex 37 and the new Freeride boards which will be out soon. Both of these boards are great to slide with. The Apex, however, is also great for Freestyle!
HI im trying to find a longboard thats not too big and good for going to and back from school. My street is mainly flat but has a few pretty steep hills and i was wondering if the pintail 37 or the path 37 is better suited.
hey i am really getting into skating ihave an average board but its getting kind of dry .i had a longboard her name was courtney haha i loved it but it got ran over .really want to start up again .the place i live isvery hilly only gong 1 way im 5"7 and way 60 kg what is good for me
hi im looking for a new longboard and where i live i ride down a 2 mile hill to get to my town (where i go everyday) but when i get there i usually ride in small spaces or carry it around, i dont do much tricks, but i slide and carve, what do you recomend?
@cyclingkid548 check out our Pintail 37. It's small enough to carry around when you're commuting, but it's also stable enough for your commute down to town every day.
@Danul11 our best cruising board for you would be our pintail 37! You'll be able to get some tight carves with this board and have enough stability for some speed.
i called you guys like a week ago about a different board, the you said something about new boards coming in, is there anywhere i can see what these new boards are gonna be?
hi i would like to purchase a longboard im new to it and im like 160
ibs and i am not really in to free riding sliding or tricks, im more interested in carving comuting and cruising but i first thought the malakai was cool now im looking at the path 37, or the pintail 37-40. id like something with a wide deck but not too wide. im not too worried for the price but i just would like some advice. hopefully my cryteria isint too bad. thanks colin
@GhetoBlasterSociety check out the Pintail 40! This board would be perfect for you and commuting because it's low to the ground making pushing easier.
im new to long boarding. im gonna be cruising, riding around the city, and hils in central park. just a beginner so no tricks yet but maybe eventually.i weigh 110 and am 5' 7". was thinking about the pin tail 37 but not too sure
Hey i'm really getting into longboarding but im not sure what board to get. I'm looking for a board that's great for downhill, carving, sliding. An all around board. im 6ft 2 about 230lbs. Thanks for the help!
hey im 140 pounds,5 ft 3in. and i need a new longboard im not a beginner but im not AWESOME either......i cruise alot but i also go down some pretty steep hills,i also LOVE 2 carve but i cant slide what so ever..... my old board was a 39 inch....WAT BOARD SHOULD I GET!!
I'm looking for a board thats a good shredding deck but at the same time good at cruising. I'm a little torn between a mini longboard like the Manhattan and a bigger board like the Custom and the Apex... Does anyone have any information on which board would be best for shredding and hitting up spots but at the same time easy to cuise on?
If you guys life carving then you should check out sector 9's aperture with double king pin trucks iv never ridden a board that carves so much and i got my board for 200 bones.
alright this summer im really looking into an original board. I'm into downhill, tons of sliding, and flip tricks, and im 5 foot five and 115 pounds. What's the best choice and best deal for what I'm looking for in the original arsenal?
Hey Original, i'm looking for a board to deep carve down some hills, then push it on into town to cruse around, would this be a good board for me or is there one that would be better?
i weigh 138 lbs and wanted to start longboarding with a group of my friends, I was wondering what type of board would be good for me. I saw on your website the custom 37 which is the new Path 37 which is good for beginners. I wanted to know if that was a good choice for someone who doesn't really wanna do tricks, but wants to longboard to relax and take it wasy.
hey Wasup original i was just wondering which is a good longboard that has versatility with carving and crusing long distances. Im not a real fan of tricks on longboards and I'm also a beginner so which longboard would be ideal for me ?
@Orighinalskateboards Hey Im Just Plainging on curzing Around a flat Surface maybe hitting Some hills Hardly Because im prety Flat Ground And im woundering what to get
Hey, I´m a 13 year old boy who would like to try out some Longboarding!I weigh about 45kg and i´m 1.65m tall.What Board should I use??.......Please recommend.:D
@s8tevan00921 Hey! Your question really depends on what type of longboarding you're looking to getting into. If you want to get into the progressive side of longboarding, doing freestyling, freeriding and sliding, you should check out the Apex 37. If you just want a longboard for carving, commuting and cruising, and not spend that much money on a board, you should check out our Pintails! Let us know if you have any other questions.
hello everyone at original im 11 years old and 5 foot tall 43 kilograms im thinking of getting a long board i need one thats good for carving and good for new zealand roads and can go sweet on flats what would you recomend???
I would recommend either the Pintail 37 or the Apex 34. Just know that the max speeds for these boards is around 20mph to 25mph, but you can handle higher speeds with skill and experience.
hey, Im 5' 6" and 127 pounds. I'm a complete beginner, but I want a board that i can keep using as i get better. I want a board that can handle some really fast speeds and, more importantly, carves well. I was thinking the Apex 37. Is that a good choice? If not, what is?
As a beginner you have a lot of choices. The Apex is a great deck and the additional performance you get out of the construction will help. That said you don't truly need that performance until you are an advanced rider.
For less money you could check out the Pintail 40 or Pintail 37 to start and then think about adding an Apex to your quiver down the line.... or you could get the Apex straight off the bat ; )
i am 5'11" and 160 lbs. I want a nice length board with a sexy deep carve, and nice cruising on hills(since i live in Florida there are not any big hills). I feel like the pintail 40 would be a board for me. What does thou sayeth?
@Originalskateboards Hey guys, Im 5' 7" and 129 pounds. i live in a smaller town with lots of decent sized hills that i wanna carve... but i also just want a good board to get around on. would the pintail 40 be a good board for me? if not what would be?
If you want something mainly for cruising around on and carving with, the Pintail 37 would be a great choice for you as well as the Malakai 40. Other boards for you to look at, which should be back in stock within the next month, are the Derringer and Apex 34. Hope this helps, and if you have any other questions, let us know!
@pleasedontblockme1 just bein honest, do you think people are going to go bomb originals place because of your complaints? The past is the past, dude, find another gnarly skate spot and move along. Sorry to hear you lost it, but at least you got to skate it, so be happy.
@BDlaxer94 you're bound to meet some girl who likes to skate somewhere. Since longboarding is growing rapidly more girls will definately start. My friends and I are girls and we all just got into it so I'm sure others will too
Loving your videos! I'm 14 years old, 5"5, 100 pounds, and i ride a Ripstik and a SoleSkate (neither take hills well). I'm looking for a longboard to carve on hills, but still pump on flats like my ripstik. I wouldn't be doing any tricks.
I'm looking at the Derringer 28 with:
- S6 trucks
- Retro BigZig 75mm wheels
- Cell Swiss (Black V1) bearings
Should I try the S8s or even another brand's trucks? When do you think the derringer will be back in stock?
Thanks from hawaii original! FOR GETTING US BUTED!! Because of you guys bringing 20 of your terrible skating friends to our most secret hills without even asking us we now have trouble with the cops!!! Not only did u deny this but u removed my comment (with 40 likes top rated) and blocked me like pussies like u will to this account. Im not gonna go away. I want people to know that cause of u we cant skate our favorite hills cause u had to bomb hills no helmets and no gloves. Nice ex 4 da kids
hi original i was thinking of getting a board but it has to be under 175 -sales tax i weigh 220 and im 5"5 i was thinking to get a path 37 hybrid 35 or a derringer 28

Hey im 5,2 and i weigh about 134 pounds and im looking for a longboard ive been looking at the Custom 45 and the path but im not sure which one is better for me thankss
i got a 46 pintail, but i want a smaller board for cruising to school, i like the look of this, BUT, on the images on your website the riser pads make the board look very high off the ground which puts me off a lot. so can you tell me how high the path 37 is from the ground please? and restock coz you guys are always out of stock. i love your website and videos besides that.
Hi there. Question: Is there a big difference between 37and 40 inches? Im interested with the path but I thought it might be a bit short although im not looking for anything too long either. I wanna cruise mostly and do some distances. Im skateboarding atm but I really want a change of size. Do you guys have any shops or retailers in NZ or Europe so I could try the different boards?. (Im in NZ now but am going back to Europe soon)
Hey original, I'm 160-165 pounds and about 5 ft. I'm trying to decide if I should get this or the torpedo 40. I want something I can cruise with but also have something that I can carve to slow down when going down small slopes. I hate going too fast when going down hills. I like how the torpedo has more componment options but I like the path because it has fiberglass which makes it more durable. Pease help!
This would be an excellent board for you, considering your height and weight and having previous skateboarding experience helps! Let us know if you have any other questions
@PenguinsNPuppies dude to be honest with you, i wouldnt get an original board. the spring loaded trucks are shit. if your going to drop 180 on a board dont buy this one
@PenguinsNPuppies original trucks use springs instead of bushings thus making them very snappy thus making it a harder cruise or gnarly hill carving( for me) and a few people ive talked to about them.
Our Trucks are engineered to utilize a spring instead of a bushing. This along with our patented wave cams use displacement to store energy in the spring through a carve, and then release this once you come out of it, returning you to center. What this allows is much more maneuverability than a traditional bushing truck, while remaining extremely responsive. This maneuverability helps out with general cruising around and also comes in handy when initiating slides!
Hey i'm 5'6 and 140lbs. I want a board thats a good freestyle board and can handle good downhill. Also what are some good sliding wheels for standup slides?
I am a beginner wanting to get a board that will last me a while, I'm 5'9" and 140lbs. I want to be able to carve and bomb hills because my neighborhood has lots of hills. Which board would you reccomend?
Go with either the Pintail 40 or Pintail 43! Both of those will work great for what you're looking to do and you'll be able to hold onto them for a while.
I would recommend the pintail 37, or 40 depending on how long you want it.

hey original, im 5ft 1in, and 80 pounds. what board would you recommend for tight carving, some downhill, and flatland?
TheKeyWestian 10 months ago
@TheKeyWestian

NSS1022 11 months ago
@NSS1022
Hey Nss,
As a beginner you have a lot of choices. The Apex is a great deck and the additional performance you get out of the construction will help. That said you don't truly need that performance until you are an advanced rider.
For less money you could check out the Pintail 40 or Pintail 37 to start and then think about adding an Apex to your quiver down the line.... or you could get the Apex straight off the bat ; )

so senores Originalskateboards,
i am 5'11" and 160 lbs. I want a nice length board with a sexy deep carve, and nice cruising on hills(since i live in Florida there are not any big hills). I feel like the pintail 40 would be a board for me. What does thou sayeth?

Mr99timone 11 months ago
@Mr99timone
The Pintail 40 would work great for you, but you can also check out the Pintail 37, or Derringer which should be back in about a month.

@Originalskateboards

Sorry to hear you lost it, but at least you got to skate it, so be happy.
zambina44 1 year ago
@BDlaxer94 you're bound to meet some girl who likes to skate somewhere. Since longboarding is growing rapidly more girls will definately start. My friends and I are girls and we all just got into it so I'm sure others will too
zambina44 1 year ago
where can i find chicks that are down to skate!?!?!
BDlaxer94 1 year ago
Hey Original,
Loving your videos!
Cheers from Australia!

Nice ex 4 da kids

i got a 46 pintail, but i want a smaller board for cruising to school, i like the look of this, BUT, on the images on your website the riser pads make the board look very high off the ground which puts me off a lot. so can you tell me how high the path 37 is from the ground please? and restock coz you guys are always out of stock. i love your website and videos besides that.
2428Tommy 1 year ago
@2428Tommy i have the path...its not as high as you would think...its about the same height as like paris or gullwing trucks even with the risers

whats the best board for powersliding? and i do not want an apex.
RATM4842 1 year ago
Cheers
PS: Love your videos
rhesus10 1 year ago
Hey original, I'm 160-165 pounds and about 5 ft. I'm trying to decide if I should get this or the torpedo 40. I want something I can cruise with but also have something that I can carve to slow down when going down small slopes. I hate going too fast when going down hills. I like how the torpedo has more componment options but I like the path because it has fiberglass which makes it more durable. Pease help!

@PenguinsNPuppies
This would be an excellent board for you, considering your height and weight and having previous skateboarding experience helps! Let us know if you have any other questions
Originalskateboards 1 year ago
@PenguinsNPuppies dude to be honest with you, i wouldnt get an original board. the spring loaded trucks are shit. if your going to drop 180 on a board dont buy this one
alore57 1 year ago
@alore57 So what do you mean the spring loaded trucks?
PenguinsNPuppies 1 year ago
@PenguinsNPuppies original trucks use springs instead of bushings thus making them very snappy thus making it a harder cruise or gnarly hill carving( for me) and a few people ive talked to about them.
alore57 1 year ago
@alore57
Key word: "few"
Originalskateboards 1 year ago
@Originalskateboards as in the few that decided to buy an original
alore57 1 year ago
@alore57
or the few that decide to comment on our videos?
Originalskateboards 1 year ago
@PenguinsNPuppies

Go with either the Pintail 40 or Pintail 43! Both of those will work great for what you're looking to do and you'll be able to hold onto them for a while.
