Pure socialism would mean that the group in question is the entire society (extreme common ownership), while pure capitalism would mean that the group is one individual (extreme private property). I generally agree with your assessment. Big govt. left and right. Ron Paul is the only exception in the Republican pack. I wouldn't say that the Repubs plunder the treasury for the rich any more than Obama has in his bailouts. The Republicans do, however, favor legislation for the preservation of wealth, and military (not necessarily defense) spending. I am a classic liberal, and Constitutional Conservative. The latter label does seem rather antiquarian for many a progressive type.

The Nazi's and the Communists were two varieties of socialism, in many ways different, but also very similar. You're confusing this with a small group of elites, be it Nazis or Soviets, having control over the means of production and practically all property within their jurisdiction.
Again, neither Russia or Germany have ever been socialist, but Russia was Marxist for a short period of time (pre-Stalin).

Nearly all property is owned by groups of individuals, and the socialism-to-capitalism scale is a measure of the size of those groups. Pure socialism would mean that the group in question is the entire society (extreme common ownership), while pure capitalism would mean that the group is one individual (extreme private property). Communism is a brand of socialism that is also stateless, and has no money and no religion.
Socialism ≠ State Control.

There would be no redistribution of property, for there would be no acquisition of property to begin with. Savage is a very smart man who uses facts to back up his points and opinions. And I apalogize for the way JayGolas addressed you.
