Yeah I noticed on the techcrunch video that both the Swype guy and the iPhone guy weren't /really/ going all that fast. They were texting kinda casually.
Thanks for compiling all the fastest times on YouTube into a single side-by-side comparison. Looks like Swype is still the king of text entry methods! =)
@geekycrap Of course calling a person would be fastest--if you're using your mobile device as a phone (and also presuming that the call connects and someone answers). My comment was directed towards text input only, and voice-to-text counts as just that. Incidentally, the latest version of SWYPE does have a talk button so you can either speak or swipe. I've found voice-to-text faster but much more prone to error than swiping text.
That texter is slow. I mean jeez - I'm in my 30's and I'm easily twice as fast on the thumbs as him.

Haha, nice. Swype seems to crash a lot on my HD2 though.
