    google blackjack secret code.

  • Phil says "You don't need a great hand to make this play". Er... if you're playing low-stakes you do, because a calling station will call you and might hit the flop. If you're playing higher stakes, others might notice you're squeezing with fresh air and will re-raise you. In both circumstances, you're pretty much f*cked if you have Q5 or Jack shit.

  • PokerView allows US players on their site

  • a poker tip comes from a pro the rest of us just give opinions and opinions r like assholes everyone has one

  • a poker tip comes from a pro the rest of us just give opinions and opinions r like assholes everyone has one

  • the tuturial does not work if one of that sandwitch guys traps you..then you are fucked

or if you have players on table that already now you are a bluffer

or if you just have morons who love to call and raise very often

it only works if you have players that are much to defensive or if you are nown as a guy who does not bluff

  • isnt this called a squeeze?

  • @MusclesfromB a squeeze to me is a girl i bang when i feel like it then ask her to leave so i can play poker with the boys

  • You should reconsider this option if any of the "sandwich players" is conservative type. Imagine yourself raising with bad hand against pocket aces.

  • uhhh this is called the squeeze play. Never heard of it as a sandwich play.

  • dont try it at your local 1/2 game.

  • There r 2 many BINGO players that will just call or reraise all-in and push u out.

    B 10, B 9 2, lol

  • hahahahaahahahha ... Man your so Truee hahahaha ... BTW Do ya use PKR ??

Ma account in PKR is ( Reddevilz ) :D

  • yeah online play sucks..

  • Sure it'll work on internet. If you play with players that call every raise or go allin with any picture card like J3, then you should leave the $0.01/$0.02 games and move up to a table where they play more properly.

  • Yeah, these kind of tips don't work that well against Internet players; so many of them will call with anything.

  • I hear ya buddy!

  • Amen. They should make a tutorial called How to play against morons on the net that go all in with 7,2OS against AA and get a full house on the flop.

  • it's called playing like a rock

  • @pjdaprinz What stakes r u playing?

  • @stephenlandrum The highest I ever played was 5/10, but I haven't played in months.

  • @pjdaprinz truuuuest statement ive ever heard

  • @pjdaprinz You've had that happened to you too I see. God I hate donks.

  • Hence you gotta adapt to teh moron style of play.

From experience, you HAVE to play conservatively in the earlier stages online. Only when you hit midgame do people start to play akin to real life poker.

  • @qwertypluss Agreed, by then all the fish have gone back to playing call of duty or some shit.

  • @aliasbrush yeah online the initial raiser will push you just because he is pissedXD

  • @aliasbrush thats why you wait for good spots like with suited connectors and when you feel the raiser was weak making his first bet. its all about how they perceive your image too. if they know your an aggressive raiser you most likely will get called in one or two spots. If the table thinks your a very tight player, this opens up alot of things for you and even if you do get called as a tight player you still can bluff as they might put you on a overpair and they could be in their with a low P

  • @aliasbrush someone plays on zynga too much

  • I try it also I have a hand, and 3 people goes all in,I guess this work when you play against pro or something!

  • As I'm sure 100 other people will have said already, this is just a squeeze play. And it only really works against a loose initial raiser with a tight caller behind him.

Don't try it online because the initial raiser will call, the guy behind him will reraise.. then there will be 6 all ins and your pocket aces will lose to a straight flush on the river.

  • What do you do if he shoves? Fold?

  • This is a squeeze play, why not just tell ppl its a squeeze play?

  • because chip sandwich sounds tastier

  • Too bad this dosent work on the internet

  • This is a good move at a real phsyical table, but good luck pulling it off with online poker. All kinds of bored people who have no clue what they're doing have a tendency to say, "What the hell, it's just a game", and then suck out.

  • TOURNAMENTS you do this, or at a VERY tight cash table (fullring, not 6max) ... and especially if you have been tight yourself for a few dozen hands (i.e. they respect your raise).

btw, normally called a "SQUEEZE PLAY", Mr. Gordon. ;)

  • Even if you were being tight, if you're at a table full of people who have lot of chips or people who are very loose, they'll call regardless. They don't read players. They see their hole cards, see AJo and then say, "oh, AJo, it's one of premium hands, ok, i call." They don't care if someone who is as tight as Dan Harrington or Howard Lederer went all in with huge bet to a small pot. They'll call based on any one of top 20 premium hands.

  • And also, you should NEVER squeeze play UTG by bluff. I only squeeze played with marginal hands when button raised and small-blind called. I assume it was button raise and I reraise if button was raising very frequently. Lot of times, they fold. But utg raise means, "i'm not fucking around, I raised even when there are 8 players left to act". If you squeeze play utg, u better prepare to fight by having odds in your favorite. i squeezeplayed utg with strong hands and got called most of the time.

  • Phil Gordon loves to pull things out of his ass. Nothing that I read of his has really worked at the table...majority of this doesn't work with donks and fish. People are making poker more than it is. Tells are overrated and majority of the pros that teach us contradict themselves. Just play poker and put all these overrated books on the shelf. Go with your instincts

  • this is best comment ever. but u gotta love those "tells" books. I read them, and give false tells by doing exact opposite. people in casino think they know shit about poker just because they read caro's book of tells and all these overrated books. When I have nuts in the raised pot, I push all in, hold my breath, look directly at my opponent and people think i'm bluffing. very ridiculous. lol.

  • agreed, EdDy4RheelZ, I watch my opponents for maybe a half hour, and those that seem to be "book read", or "online pros" (lol) I will give off "actor tells" (as Caro calls them) and therefore my excitement/strength posture truly mean strength (not weakness, like they expect :) ) ... whereas the fish and old "veterans" I will act like I am a n00b and will know that my "tells" will not be presumed to be "opposites". Works really well to get RIVER calls when holding the nuts.

  • There was one pot where I held Ace high nut flush which was absolute nuts, I pushed all in, looked directly into my opponents eyes, board was KcQc9s2c5d and I pushed all in with Ac7c. Guy thinks he knows shit about poker and calls me with pair of 8s and lost 800 bucks to me since pot was over 1600 pot. He then tells me that he thought I was bluffing. People on average say overbetting the potsize is likely a bet that wants people to fold. I use that to my advantage and overbet when I have nuts.

  • Suecide

  • This does not work against donkeys or low/middle stakes poker. I squeeze play and sandwich and still get called by 1 or 2 players. Most of the time, I win because I do this only with pocket aces/kings. When I'm utg and have high pocket pair, i limp in if i'm quite certain someone will raise. When They do and i get lot of calls and I'm nearly last one to act, I reraise. Majority folds but I still get calls. squeeze play only works in high stakes. i play 5/10 live which is middle.

  • i do the same and i haev been called off rags, n lost..

i had AA i limp, next guy rises to 4 times the blind, 3 callers, i push all in.. get 1 caller... Q8 off suit... hits 88 on flop...

  • lol. i get lot of ace-rag playing donkeys who call my reraise. bottomline is, in low or middle stakes, people don't know how to fold their hands. they play their hands, not the people. they don't think of what others can have. so this squeeze play never works in low and middle stakes.

  • For example, person has AQo. If there's raise and reraise in front of that person, that person will fold in high limits or high stakes. In low limits, they will call. They don't care how many raises there are in front of them. They'll call with AQ just because it's one of top 10 starting hands. They won't read opponents. They will call regardless of who goes all in. Even if Dan Harrington(one of most conservative tight-image players in the world) went all-in, donks will call with AQo.

  • i had it last night.... 3 times the same guy outdrew me

1st hand i had KQ flop comes 10,J,9... i push he calls with 10,10 pairs the board for a full house... fair enuf..

2nd hand i raiise pre flop with AQ flop comes Q,7,3 he has Q 10 calls me all in turns the 10

3rd hand i had QQ pushed in pre flop he calls for hit entire stack with KQ off suit and rivers K

i said have you noticed how every time you go against me you have the worst hand

should that not tel you sumthing??

    he didnt get it

  • Come ooon, those donkeys are not gonna fold for 140 more, it's too little. They'll call and they'll call with shit.

  • i also dont agree with it to be honest

reason being its alright if u have a good hand other then that you pull something like that on the table and you get called sure youll think that you have them beat but your also out of position=/ just my oppion

  • hmm! thats a zquezz play.

  • n a sht-sandwitch it will b for t rest of plrs

  • i realy hope this happenes when i limp with my high pair....yumm!

  • anyone that limps with a tier 1 hand deserves to get donked. And you will. A lot.

  • this ain't donk advice you idiot, if you read your opponents as weak and there not shit players then a big reraise can win the pot. Even if that doesn't work you will have position throughout the hand.

  • Uhh...just to let you know you won't have position in the hand. You're in the big blind. You'll have to act first in all the other betting rounds....But I'll still do it.

  • You obviously dont know a damn thing about poker.

  • Abce.....What? As much of poker is luck than skill, but its a good idea, and probably works alot of the time. Your the one who obviously doesnt know much about poker

  • im pretty sure abce246 was replying to KKwelt

  • I LIKE THIS ONE

    NICE!

  • See word tooth hit,all right!

  • Wow. I'm a really good poker player already, but these are really helping.

  • WOW... this video is pretty much saying: "stand in front of a car that is going 100mph, put your hands up and say "stop", and he will stop!"

  • It's less dangerous than the stop and go, which the more respect Dan Harrington famously suggests to try on occasion.

Works in tournaments. But not in very early stages (donks will call with anything decen) and not in late stages (blinds will be really high).

  • lmao

  • i have no idea what you talked about! NO FANCE!

  • Mike Matusow "Poker 101, Never bluff to an idiot"

  • 200 is not a big reraise

  • it isn't... i literally have to raise 3/4 of my stack with AA pre flop, so i dont get called by a donk with 8/9 suited and outflop me...

  • to quote Barry: "lol, donkuments". Another $10k to the charity, please...

  • isnt phil gordon the guy who used to announce the celebrity poker tournaments for like 10 years ??? w/dave foley

  • i call that a pussy sandwich. and the dick with the biggest balls get to fuck them

  • Agree - this is a great move to have in your toolbox. I've been burned by it but also won an awful lot of chips. Agreed w/ matrixlogon - never a good idea to bluff a poor player.

  • Harrington calls this the "Squeeze Play", and he performed it very famously at the final table of the WSOP Main Event in 2003. A very complicated but profitable move.

  • too bad this doesnt realy work on donkey players who calls your raise anyway thinking they're comitted since they have called the blinds

  • Your right. Only bluff advanced players. Even bluffing for your table image is useless against most fish.

  • not entirely true... when you play poker, you have to play different ways, depending on your opponents. Yes bluff with good players, but you should also do it with n00bs :P But of

  • All the experts say bluffing with newbies in general is a bad idea, simply because they don't know what hand they themselves have, let alone what you might have.
