@skeetskeetskeet420 The double kick patterns are like sprinting for repeated 3 minute bursts which is endurance of olympic proportions. Bass players rarely deserve spotlights :P You have to learn to play an Instrument. To become good take a lot of hard work. You can either sing or you can't.
@the4saken92 uhh you are wrong, they have these things called triggers. And most of the crazy double bass drumming u hear is done with pedals such as these. And the drummer barely has to tap his foot to get the sound of mashing the pedal as hard as he can. And very few people who use double bass do it the hard way, because there is no point to create more work for yourself needlessly

The sensors you put on your bass drum so every tap no matter how hard of soft the trigger picks up and puts through the pa or whatever. you can mic a bass drum or trigger a bass drum, it's not a pedal dummy, as you can see Dan uses iron cobras :) and i disagree with you on the spotlight thing because without singers there is no band, but without a band there is no singer. TDWP just happens to have phenominal musicians

@920connor They only had 2 spotlights, otherwise they would of put one on everyone. And I dont even consider mike to be one of the best, hes damn good, but not my favorite by any means. And I was speaking from my experience. In metalcore especially, you have very FEW guitarists that can actually play well. And in general, most could not rip some crazy solo and do any technical riffing. And there really are very few good screamers, most suck, theres only about 10 I consider actually good at it

This isnt something with the music industry today, its something that has been going on for a long time. The singer will always get the most attention, they are the voice of the band, its been this way for several hundred years. @the4saken92 Uhh since the beginning of singing, the one singing has always had more attention drawn to them. And this has been going on for hundreds of years. Hell even the practice of teaching people how to sing goes back to Ancient Greece. The singer will always have more attention because what they do is more important. Everyone can learn to play an instrument, But not everyone can sing. So your point is still stupid. This will never change. Either abandon music or shut the fuck up.

A singer has a greater gift then the guy playing simple power chords on a guitar. Some musicians are worthy of the spotlight and they get it because of their immense talent. But 9 out of 10 musicians are not that amazing... Not compared to the singer. So the singer deserves the spotlight...always has and always will... Just because something has been going on for a long time doesn't make it right (That point is total BS) A Guitarist who can playing crazy riffs while running around and putting on a show and still sound good is more deserves more attention than some guy screaming into a mic. A drummer manages to play insane beats at breakneck speeds, while keeping timing.

@skeetskeetskeet420 The double kick patterns are like sprinting for repeated 3 minute bursts which is endurance of olympic proportions. Bass players rarely deserve spotlights :P You have to learn to play an Instrument. To become good take a lot of hard work. You can either sing or you can't.

@the4saken92 uhh you are wrong, they have these things called triggers. And most of the crazy double bass drumming u hear is done with pedals such as these. And the drummer barely has to tap his foot to get the sound of mashing the pedal as hard as he can. And very few people who use double bass do it the hard way, because there is no point to create more work for yourself needlessly

The sensors you put on your bass drum so every tap no matter how hard of soft the trigger picks up and puts through the pa or whatever. you can mic a bass drum or trigger a bass drum, it's not a pedal dummy, as you can see Dan uses iron cobras :) and i disagree with you on the spotlight thing because without singers there is no band, but without a band there is no singer. TDWP just happens to have phenominal musicians

I mean the real deal, there are plenty of bad singers and screamers. Those dont count. When it comes to screaming thats ever more rare then singing. Finding someone who is actually good at it is so beyond fucking rare.. It is worth more then any instrument u could name. I know of like 10 screamers I actually consider amazing,,,, in all of music....TEN!

@920connor They only had 2 spotlights, otherwise they would of put one on everyone. And I dont even consider mike to be one of the best, hes damn good, but not my favorite by any means. And I was speaking from my experience. In metalcore especially, you have very FEW guitarists that can actually play well. And in general, most could not rip some crazy solo and do any technical riffing. And there really are very few good screamers, most suck, theres only about 10 I consider actually good at it

If they excel with talent, they will have spotlight drawn to them. So its about the talent factor more then anything, and 9 out of 10 guitarists dont deserve much spotlight
althought with bands like prada and others, the members all going crazy on stage is an excellent way for everyone to receive more attention then usual.

So spotlight on him is not gonna happen. And chris isnt about bein in the spotlight. And james puts himself in the spotlight during rolls and pitch shifts on chris's left stack (DD Delay).
