Listen, it's very simple. If you have attraction to the opposite gender only, you are straight. If you have attraction for your same gender, you are gay. Both, Bi. None, asexual. Gender is not a determining issue? Pansexual.

The one issue I didn't see was actually how much "Gay Teens" view and discriminate against themselves i had a boy at my school KILL himself because of all the hate and bullying that other Teens picking on him. People assume that minorities are all the same, or that media portrayals of minorities are accurate. It's problematic because it allows us to be dehumanized and scapegoated; people don't see us a individuals, but instead as a "scary, 12-eyed monster."
@donthateonmeee Because we are an oppressed minority, gay people are often very self-hating and exclusionary of people who don't fit their definition of "gay." Unfortunately minorities who are oppressed tend to have a rather unhealthy view of themselves and the world like that.
i honestly think everyone is bisexual in some way... i think we all have a natural attraction to both male and females, but society has made it hard for people to be truthful with themselves and be honest about it... especially males...

Me: Gay. Basically gender neutral. My hair is straight and relitivley short. I get told my voice is monotone constantly, no lisp. HOWEVER i do like rather odd clothes. They fascinate me. and my hair must always cover my forehead.
But none of that is because i'm gay. It's because of the things iv'e experienced in my life, and being gay, i experience life diffrently than straight people.

The misconception is the people are all gay or all straight, this idea was pretty conclusively destroyed with the Kinsey report. It showed as much as 46% of males has some sexually reaction to persons of both sexes. A lot of those will have a strong preference for one sex or another, but some can go ether way, and can "choose" to be gay or straight.

A man could find other men attractive, but not wish to perform sexual acts with any. This is generally called biromantic heterosexuality. The attraction is the '~romantic' part, and the sexual desire is the '~sexuality' section. There is a difference.
Sexuality is a huge spectrum. Very few people are exclusively 'straight', 'bi' or 'gay'.

@thatkidevan THANK YOU! i've been saying that forever but no one agreed with me. that's totally true, and it's just because of the way society is that makes people (especially males, as you said) not want to admit to themselves that they might be bisexual or even homosexual. and when people do admit it they want to keep it a secret, because of the social representation of people that aren't straight. it's a problem. and i agree completely.

Me: Gay. Basically gender neutral. My hair is straight and relitivley short. I get told my voice is monotone constantly, no lisp. HOWEVER i do like rather odd clothes. They fascinate me. and my hair must always cover my forehead.
But none of that is because i'm gay. It's because of the things iv'e experienced in my life, and being gay, i experience life diffrently than straight people.

When you said "Who you can love, based on your genitals." It reminded me of last year when my Social Studies class had a class debate about gay marriage and my teacher had to stay neutral and argue against both sides to keep us going. He was coming at me with a bunch of stuff about how it IS different and they need to be treated different and all this stupid stuff and not letting me talk and finally I shouted "The only difference is what's in their pants!" That shut him up :]

i remember when we had to do pretty much the same thing, just that it was only the students arguing, and in my class it was me and two more girls with like 11 guys and one guy was just a homophobe one guy thought it made no diffrence and the rest was sitting going on about how girl/girl is "sexy" and guy/guy is gross and wrong.
i love that guy who thought it didn't matter XD

I was hoping you were being satirical but I guess I was hoping for too much. If the Bible should be taken seriously then the entire world should be destroyed because in Deuteronomy 13:13-19 it says to kill a whole town if one person worships another religion. It also says these:

Sometimes I wonder if im really gay but then I see a girl i am attracted to like laci and realize maybe im just bi sexual but I can't see myself wanting to have sex with a guy maybe just kissing so does that make me bisexual? I don't know nor does it matter, love transcends all artificial boundaries we place on ourselves and others I find it liberating and empowering, Love is our greatest strength and probably accounts for our survival up to this point in time

Gender and sex don't matter to me one bit. I'm gender blind. I like men physically but I would date a girl. But it doesn't matter if you're GLBT or straight, confused or questioning, as long as you're okay with yourself and others. As long as you don't hurt others, it makes NO difference! :D

Fact two mwn or two women cannot procreate and maybe if people had unwanted children from UNMARRIED SEX they could give those abbaies to be adopted,. Its all sick.
