  • There is a fine cover of this excellent tune by jamaican rocksteady era group The Techniques, under the title "You don't care"

  • bad jam! keep it comming!

  • this is a firme payback rola

  • Colsnake331 is right! even in Chicago, people had grown tired of the familiar Major Lance sound ( bouncy Curtis Mayfield dance tune). This song showed his versatility and range, and, of course, was written by a gentleman by the name of Curtis Mayfield; quite a formula for success!

  • wow, it doesn't get prettier than this! Beautiful song, deep and soulful.

  • showcasing the talent of major, curtis, sam and fred at their best

  • This song is featured on Major Lance's greatest hits; good luck finding it!

  • Outstanding!

  • these are some firme rolas where can i doanload them

  • Whoa! You struck gold with this one. This was a 'B' side that was played more than the flip at parties on the South Side basement sets. Major had fallen into a rut by 1967 with the formula beat that made him famous, so everyone was looking for the Curtis Mayfield in him to come forth. This was the ballad that did it.

    Thanks for this post.
