I worked for London Transport, remember that anyone, the good old days. I never once found the need to rant at a passenger. You can advise passengers, if they take no notice, that is up to them. You tell them to stand clear, if they want to stand on the edge of the platform after you told them to stand clear, that is their business.

A little know fact that the public does not know about. On average 1 passenger is killed every day somewhere on the underground system. Most of them are suicides

Go work on a station and you will see that being abused is a highly common occurence, even if you are trying to help somone.

Alot of the time, the staff are seen as easy targets as they cannot and should not react to abusive behaviour.

It doesn't help that the BTP's way of dealing with abuse is too call you back two hours later and ask if you the culprit is still there -.-
