I've been looking for a reputable breeder and those are the prices I've often come across. Any less and it could possibly be a mixed breed being advertised as full Ragdoll, which if your looking to spend less is considerable, but it might not have all the characteristics (like the trade mark floppyness) that make the breed desirable.

Goodness, I wish my ragdoll was a docile as that. I got the breed because of their typical behavior - but Stella will rip anyone's face off that comes in the door, except for me and my mom. Ragdolls are one of the biggest cats by the time they reach adulthood, it has nothing to do with over-feeding or crazy diets... it's built into their dna. Their coats are really soft, like rabbit fur and they love to go completely limp when you pick them up, just like the kitty in this video. They're fantastic cats and really affectionate. I personally love how lazy they are when they're picked up. lol
