Is this a Monsanto front company? How did they know about the bee collapse and get a kick start on coming up with a "solution" for reduced bee populations? PROBLEM, REACTION, SOLUTION. Create the problem, publicize it to stir a reaction, introduce a solution that serves the problem makers. Brilliant.
So will Monsanto own the bees of farmers that use the product? Will Monsanto sue people depending upon where their vaccinated bees land? I am skeptical of this agreement between BEELOGICS and Monsanto. People, just stop using the chemicals that are killing the bees.
This is really not a good solution. Would like to see what this company considers non-toxic. What are the ingredients in this technology? They clinically tested it on people/bees in the USA already! Horrible.
I saw a Beelogics presentation at the North American Beekeepers Conference. The only issue I have with this is that the presenter said bees produce this RNAi naturally. Is administering this going to stop bees from producing this naturally? I realize lifespan of a bee is "short" so it may not hurt at first, but will we do long term genetic damage because we administer this and the bees who produce this naturally do not have an advantage? In other words are we helping the weak survive
Are these drugs making there way into our honey? what about the long term effects. You are going to make a super bug that will wipe out the bee's for sure. Maybe you should find an alternitive ways of pollenization.
without these drugs there wont even bee honey The bee population in the US has declined 1% every year since 1950. In agreculture if you dont have any bees, Then you cant grow anything.
I understand about the impact of loosing bees. I also know that viruses are worse these days, from the way they exchange dna material. When they manipulate viruses they don't completely understand the long term outcome. They have proven that antibacterial products are making viruses mutate at very fast levels. Why do they keep those products on the market and take risks manipulating things instead of finding a solution to the original problem.I would think.Maybe everything will be fine, idk.
Good idea, take your little brush and start hopping the fields. By the time you're 65 years old, you would have 'pollinized' enough plants to just sustain yourself for a little while. And probably at the price of 80 dollars per tomato, strawberry or whatever your fav fruit/veggie is... I do share your concern however, that this agent will turn T-virus and herald the zombie-apocalypse... But then, we can always blame the ....
Come on....how can saving global agricultural farming through saving the bees begin to compare with that wonderful gift the Palestinians have given us of the suicide bomber.
What wonderful news. I only hope this drug is affordable for the bee keepers to be able to use enough of it to heal all the colonies, as bee keepers do not make huge profits from their work last I heard. Or hopefully the government will pay for the medication.
Now, if we could only get these companies like Monsanto and Bayer to stop making all these Nicotine based pesticides which might have caused/helped this problem to begin with.
I have no problem. I support all Israeli efforts to make the world a better place. Many countries want to boycott Israel because they are basically anti-semetic. This is so sad as Israel wants nothing more than to be a friends to all.
Great! I was getting very concerned about the bee situation!! You can practically see the lower number of bees in my own area in the UK. Once there were lots in the summer, now you are hard pressed to find a few. There are still some bumblebees, but the bee population seems to have vanished as a local insect group.
This is an amazing product which this Israeli company is bringing to the world. So how many countries with a bee industry or agraculture biz that need bees still want to boycott Israel?
Thank goodness someone took the bull by the horns and began this research. Apparently there was an effort begun when HCD first appeared, as it's been only about four years since I first saw it in my beehives. Good Work, Israel21c. Hopefully Remen-D will be approved and marketed soon. I have seen that the bees have made some progress themselves, utilizing their ages old immune defenses, but as in humans, any help overcoming viruses would be a great help.

If you think you are too small to be effective, you have never been in the dark with bees.

If the world would only leave Israel alone, they will eventually develop a solution to cancer and improve the quality of life of humanity.
