  • The only problem I really have with "Taxing the rich" and such, is exactly the fact taht the figures do change. And the higher tax bracket you get into, the more money that comes out of your pocket and you basically bring home the exact same as when you had made less.

To sum it up:It penalizes hard work. Under plans like this you basically make the same amount working at a slacker job making less. Because the "rich" tax brackets force you to bring home about the same.

    No incentive 2work.

  • If you people are rich, I hope you get taxed so hard it makes your balls ache. time to get some of that back to the people that earned it. and NO PLUMBERS MAKE 250K A YEAR, wurzelbacher (the fuckin shill) included. OBAMA IS THE PRESIDENT. Time to pay the fiddler cocksuckers!

  • Have no illusions...When it is all said and done,it will be $42,000.00...:(

  • i think anything more than 100 grand a year per person should be considered rich. you could buy a nice house, drive a mercedes S class, and enjoy restaraurants every evening. Thats way more than 99% of average person in the world

  • those are hard working people who deserve it. not some bum ass like you.

  • I study in IU full time, work, pay for school and pay taxes. That makes me a bum?

  • So sorry, but $100k doesn't buy all that you said, esp when you want to save for your child's education

  • Well, I said per person. I assume you would have a working partner as well if you decide to have a kid. Say what you want, but having 100 k a year is too much for a single person.

  • Really?? After one pays TAXES ( my state is #2 in high taxes), 401K (can't count on anything else), living expenses ( I drive a 'pre-owned' honda) and put $ aside for my kids' education...$100k doesn't last...how much do you make and how do you budget?

  • actually ecosten your wrong, almost had me for a second but go look at that AD for the 200,000 , the real one....it does say for families

so yeah this ad is factually correct.

  • Obama has said that single adults making $200,000/yr will get their taxes raising, $250,000 for couples.

That's not "change, change, change" This ad is just promoting ignorance.

  • Fuck all you fascists. Obama is going to clean house and hopefully we'll see most of the Bush administration facing a firing squad for the crimes of the past eight years.

  • You're calling for firing squads, but calling somebody else a fascist? You are clearly suffering from a severe case of anal cranial impaction.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. good shit

  • Well push should be put on trial. And since you got death penalty in america and since he ofcourse should have the hardest punishment possible then its just fair and square that he dies by lethal injection.

  • Your sentiments are pathetic at best,,,,you don't even live here

  • You dont have to live in America to get affected buy your foregin politics. And you dont have to live there to hate Bush.

  • If Obama wins, you may have already participated in your last election.

  • Ill tell ya if you have more then the next guy YOU ARE RICH!

    crumbs for everyone!

  • Right now I'd rather pay more taxes with a new plan than to continue with the current plan we are on now. If you want to vote Mc Cain then cool, but Obama seems like he actually knows what he's doing.

  • The operative word here is "seems". Don't be fooled by the rhetoric...And if you want to see why we are in the financial situation we are right now, watch the video "Burning Down The House" Obama and the left wing dems that we may be potentially turning this economy over to are neck deep in causing this crisis.

  • Huh? I thought the economical crises was because of the economic policies of Bush? Not Obama? Im SOOO confused over all of this stuff. There's too much info on everyone and anything any candidate says is contradicted by the opponent.

  • you have alot to learn about the derivative market ChiTraderRob, not to mention everything else.

  • @ChiTraderRob That's rhetoric right there. This is politics in the United States; two bulls, and a great heard of sheep. Capitalism and corporations are the enemy to the middle class. Politicans, lobbyists, the media; they all benefit from this bullshit. It's commercialism and propaganda; a big horse and pony show for the feeble-minded individuals who are attempting to scrape by. If you all fear communism you are buying into it all. Search Dystopia and Plutonomy

  • Obama is a very good con man. He lies very smoothly. That is why you need to follow his trail of actions to know what he is really like.

  • Well it's very hard to tell if someone is a con man or a good man. Most likely he's not a con man because if everything falls it's going to fall on him. And I'd rather take a chance at something new than to continue down the slippery slope we are going on. McCain has a lot more skeletons in his closet than Barack so it would be hard to try and decifer which one is the con man.

    (RIP Obama's grandmother)

  • Yes, very sad for him on the loss of his grandmother. On that basis, I call a truce for the moment.

  • Thank you, you are the first politically interested person that I have talked to who seems to at least have a heart. When people have family members who die it becomes our duty to put aside our differences and call a truce to give our respect as a human being. Thank you.

  • That's right folks...the bar will keep coming down. YOU are rich and YOU WILL PAY HIGHER TAXES.....they'll break the news to you AFTER the election...Sorry but...these programs are so expensive..the money has to come from somewhere right?

Don't fall for the 'bait and switch" trick...

    VOTE FOR MCCAIN !!

  • i notice there are more MCCAIN ads which take a stab at OBAMA instead of MCCAIN ads which promote MCCAINS intended presidency actions

  • this is pretty harsh on obama.

  • Not a close election again!!! Find out why you should be very concerned at Musicians4Obama, and pass it on!

  • "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

    -Thomas Jefferson-

Yes. Wake up, my countrypeople! Have you heard Obama calling for "fundamental change" to America? "Fundamental change"? We may well need to tweak some things here and there, but America is not in need of a total overhaul and makeover in attempts to transform us into some other European nation. No, thanks. Please wake up, anyone who's still in the Kool-Aid daze. America is a damn fine country; keep the change, Barry.

  • I'm loving the GOP's rendition of 'Titanic'.

I guess that's what happens when you run a senile Bush clone and a retarded lady.

  • I'm Joe the builder, and I actually do run a small business (and I pay my taxes)... I already voted for Senator Obama, so sorry :P

  • Why is his accent constantly changing? He's such a poseur. I thought we lived in the age of cynicism, where we easily sniffed out frauds and scoffed at faux-earnestness. Yet a lot of people -- even media-savvy young people -- are enamored of this faker.

    It's bizarre.

  • I can't believe my country can fall for the lies of socialists. There are still a lot of us that are way under $150,000 who don't think the government should take other people's money away. Freedom not socialism!

  • Comment removed

  • Lots of stuff to like about Japan, but I for one glad that I am America is not like Japan. Too much group think, too many sukebe oyaji, and not enough diversity.

To each his own, I guess.

  • Obama's marxism is showing...

The latest is he is now calling any who doesn't want higher taxes "selfish"

Obama is in desperation mode... LETS VOTE AGAINST THIS COMMUNIST.

  • You've obviously never been to Japan.

  • But, Obama said Bill Richardson had not been promised any position in exchange for Bill Richardson turning his back on Clinton and supporting Obama.

Does Obama tell the truth about anything?

  • and today, Obama's surrogate Bill Richardson has lowered it to $120,000.

  • Class Warfare! Spread the Wealth Around!

As Ayn Rand said back when another liberal (George McGovern) was planning a socialist makeover of our country "By What Right?"

That's a question the Dems/Socialists/Statists can't answer honestly for fear of getting voted out of office permanently. So they'll say anything to cover up their true thoughts and planned policies.

Thank the Lord for Joe the Plumber for asking the question and actually getting a revealing answer from that Empty Suit.

  • the actual cut-off amount has always been arbitrary. his motive has always been to stir up class resentment. hating the "rich" is so much easier than encouragnig people to take responsibility for bettering themselves.

  • even on TV Obama comes through the screen and smells up my living room , almost to the point as if I need a shower, He will say "ANYTHING" to get elected!

  • The only surprise here is that he is proving he is a lyer before the election is even over.

Please save our country from the world best BSer. Vote for the man that says what he believes... John McCain.

  • @wkoeggbert Yeah learn to spell, then maybe you wouldn't believe in a man who fights gays in the military. Politics are BS you idiot, we have two political parties that receive an merit. That's BS. The government is inter-twined with Wall Street through the Fed. Senators and representatives are merely an illusion of "democracy" in this country.
