I agree, games with multiplayer which isn't needed is a waste of resources and time. Look at the Fallout or Elder Scrolls series, which is strictly Singleplayer only, no co op or Multiplayer. They are very large and beautiful games.

agreed most is trash i played uncharted 2 online for like a day just because it was one of my first ps3 titles, and I wanted to play my playstation online. Honestly it would be better to stick with a co op mode and choice systems. Choice systems and stuff just add multiple ending and tons of replay ability. Such as dragon age origins or something like dead rising. Loads of replay value there. And you are right this shotty multiplayer that no one plays is a waste, and affects my view of a game.

Yeah I remember playing GTA IV party mode with 5 of my friends and that was so much fun the shit we got up to, way funner than any TDM game I ever played. Well I always consider multiplayer to be add on like games are single player right they always were when you really think about. I think that at most, games that were originally single player only (ie. Bioshock) should go the Borderlands way and just drop you and your friends in a huge world with little to no direction. It can be story-driven like Borderlands, but, like I just said, that should be the extent of it. Bioshock 2 multiplayer was actually pretty fun, but it was also incredibly basic, and it stuck out severely. If you and friends could explore an even larger Rapture without limit, then I would welcome it.

i think a they SHOULD make a multiplayer component if they have hopes for it catching on. the assassin's creed multiplayer had no base to start on, and it turned out to be one of the most unique and interesting multiplayers i've played. as long as they give as much attention to their single player as they need, i don't mind if they putin multiplayer

I think games should be split into multiplayer and single player games. If they really wish to have both they should be sold as two seperate games. Then developers would see what is worth spending time and resources on and what isn't (and more importantly publishers because its them that think oh its not a full title unless it has both)

I played RDR two years because of the Multiplayer, i think Multiplayer Games are good because you can have a lot of fun with people around the world! I pay money for the game and if i finish the story I'm not playing the story again and again only if i get a trophy for that. But the Multiplayer keeps the Game alive and you can play it some years.
