My trip to Mexico i stayed at the Gran Serenis and on one of my trips was here. It was so amazing the water was crystal clear. My group snorkeled and it was very hard to keep your head from hitting the rocks. 5 stars
We went to Car Wash and another cenote and just snorkeled. I dream of going back down and seeing Grand Cenote and going to visit as many as possible. Like a hike a day with the odd nice day snorkleing the reef.
I swam up in that opening before. I entered another opening we had to climb into and our sherpa's carried our tanks down for us. The old truck we rode out on had no cab. It was an excellent dive. We were in the bat cave and seen a halocline. Some places were real tight. I did two tanks in there. We met a guy who knew the cave. He took me and two buddies. There was a grim reaper on a sign in the cave saying do not pass. Two of us had no previous diving experience. I was one. Loved it.
