what the hell? Why would you eat a rat? In this day and age we don't need to eat a rat, there's barely any meat and they're swarming with fleas and diseases. Go ahead eat the one with one eye, I dare ya.
err I didnt see a hunt just soe dude talking about hunting, thats like watching a porn and going over all the lotions and drug you they will be taking then just being like hope you had fun watching
@ElwoodxProductions I think people wear camo as its mainly cheap, ex-army (In my case) outdoor gear you don`t mind getting dirty or damaged! Your not going to go in a shitty farmyard in your wedding suite are you? Or your best jeans and designer shoes? Common sense! The camo means nothing most of the time its true but there you go! :)
@moleman1961 i do wear jeans and trainers for a car shelter i clear of feral's that soil the cars oterwise im all camo'd up in the farm yards and fields
@falconfn1963 yes beware he sells some absolute crap and some kit that is totally unsuitable for airguns for example the hawk sidewinder 30 8 32 x56!!!!!!!! eh??????????? an excellent bit of glass yes but on top of an airgun you can only possibly utilise about a tenth of its ability so whats the point?
Hi nigel great video. i run this same lamp on a scorpion t10 for the same purpose., and had great success. i deal time to deal with rats is between 6 and 6 as you probably know. great video keep them coming.
Hi Jamey. Yes, night-time's deffo the best on these particular critters. I've had some daylight sessions, but most kills have come under cover of darkness. Glad you like the vid. ATB. Nige
I agree, Paul - but the video camera we had wouldn't record properly in the dark and the battery quickly died on us. I thought using stills would be better than nothing!
Thanks. That's going to be my trademark - a bit of a narrative mixed in with video and stills footage. Everyone seems to like it. Bit more complicated to do... but the end result is worth the extra time. Your appreciative comments are encouraging. Cheers.
That was the intention... but my video equipment wasn't good enough for the night shots!!! But I've got some new kit coming, so hopefully I'll be able to get some live action in the future...
Hi AirgunHunterUK. Thx for the appreciation (could you rate the vid with stars for me?). Your Question: What you want is a Voltage Regulated (V-R) job. It's the DA2632-RCR123A Charger which comes with 2 batteries V-R (s.r.p. is £29.95 from your Deben stockist.) (A VR rechargeable battery is coded BA7842-RCR123A). If you don't know your nearest stockist, Deben will help - 01394 387762. HTH... and spread the word about my channel - there's lots more coming!!! Cheers. Nige
Thanks a lot for your help, I think it takes some time before the rating shows up, if you know what I mean. I've added your two videos to my favourites to help spread the word, I'll share them with my contacts as well. The two videos so far have been really well put together and clearly set out, I look forward to more!
Thank AHUK - I see the ratings have registered now. (New to all this, so wasn't aware it wasn't 'instant'.) Really appreciate your (very encouraging) feedback and will endeavour to 'better the previous' with every new one I post. Working on some more right now. ATB - Nige
Really good video, 5 stars. I use a Deben Tracer Stinger for my ratting (also located around a chicken enclosure) fitted with a red filter. The only thing about it that I don't like is that it eats the battery within an hour or so. If you could point me in the direction of a rechargable CR 3.0V battery, I would much appreciate it.
The Deben Mini-Pro I used here is pretty good. Lightweight and you can adjust the brightness with the rheostat switch. A good trick is to use as low a power as you can get away with; it doesn't spook the rats as much. A red filter - like the clip-on one I used here - is also good for dumbing down the brightness.

You can get a Crossman Phantom 1000 fps break barrel pellet rifle at Walmart
( $80) and a Yukon 1rst gen Night Vision Scope ($100) Ebay and have a ball shooting rats , racoons, and field mice.
Lots of fun!
raguspag55 1 year ago
@raguspag55 how did you find a scope that cheap?! is it a rifle scope? or just a monocular?
Tarzan07330 1 year ago
@Tarzan07330 craigslist com , I just found another for $150, chicago.craigslist com
and search for night vision scope - do it quickly they sell fast
3 x 6 image magnification
adjustable infrared illumination
waterproof shock resistant case
raguspag55 1 year ago
@raguspag55 oooo, craiglist. ok. thanks for the tip!
Tarzan07330 1 year ago
@Tarzan07330 craigslist for your town unless you live in hicksvile.
I find at least 1 per week, from $75 - $200, most around $100 if you deal.
I found my gen1 for $75 and later found a gen2 for 150, bummer.
I also found my crossman phantom on craigslist for $35, and later a gamo shadow for $75. I bought it anyway. Try the nearest craigslist to your city
and youll find lots of shit , and most you can deal with to get the best deal.

For now i will just have to stick with killing birds with my terrible P800 hehe. I am from northern scandinavia, so i was thinking, Sweden?
