I'm very interested in learing how to use the older soroban as I own one with 1/5 beads, most tutorials I've seen show how you use a modern Soroban though... Some tips? Anyone? :)
I'm learning to use the suànpán (the japanese style one, soroban); it's really quite useful, especially for mental math calculations (when you do abacus in your head)
I need one so bad and i can't buy anything online ??

i prefer 1 heaven and 4 earth beads, but shoo, i'd probably buy that, if i had the money for something that old.

doubt you'll be able to find one, but i do know that Tomoe Soroban sells em, and they're really good. I recommend the 27-digit one.

soroban is first used in china n it's originally from china~~~ "soroban" is the transliteration in japanese of the word "suanpan" in chinese~~~~~~~
