  • I need one so bad and i can't buy anything online ??

    any suggestions ???plz

  • its invented by chinese ppl

  • where did you find the soroban?

  • Isn't that the softypapa in the video?!

  • do you know how to build an abacus with home materialse??

  • @elkolodj1 yeah. cheerios and toothpicks..

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I've always had an abacus like that, though shorter than yours, and I didn't realize it was an antique. Now I just have to figure out how to use it.

  • I'm very interested in learing how to use the older soroban as I own one with 1/5 beads, most tutorials I've seen show how you use a modern Soroban though... Some tips? Anyone? :)

  • i prefer 1 heaven and 4 earth beads, but shoo, i'd probably buy that, if i had the money for something that old.

  • where can i get one in the U.S?

(and don't say chinatown or asiatown)

  • doubt you'll be able to find one, but i do know that Tomoe Soroban sells em, and they're really good. I recommend the 27-digit one.

  • soroban is first used in china n it's originally from china~~~ "soroban" is the transliteration in japanese of the word "suanpan" in chinese~~~~~~~

  • @Isaacixav

abacus is originally from ancient west asia. not china.

  • I'm learning to use the suànpán (the japanese style one, soroban); it's really quite useful, especially for mental math calculations (when you do abacus in your head)

  • id like to see u use 1 if u can plz.

  • I have a 2 videos of me using one, neither of them are very good, but one of them are close up.
