What's the big hype over TWDP? They are FAR FROM fantastic live, their screams are decent but Mike Hranica's high screams have always made my ears bleed. His lows have improved from Plagues to Zombie, but live these guys aren't great.
Instrumentally, none of them are "outstanding" at their respective instruments (however, the drummer is pretty tight.) I just don't see what all the hype is about. Studio albums sound good, live, not so much.

What's the big hype over TWDP? They are FAR FROM fantastic live, their screams are decent but Mike Hranica's high screams have always made my ears bleed. His lows have improved from Plagues to Zombie, but live these guys aren't great.
Instrumentally, none of them are "outstanding" at their respective instruments (however, the drummer is pretty tight.) I just don't see what all the hype is about. Studio albums sound good, live, not so much.
Go listen to some August Burns Red. \m/(>_<)\m/

@JayseWeaver Yea like i LOVE them but live their probably a 6.5 on a scale of 10 and yea august burns red is amazing live good stage presense. These guys decent stage presence. I mean if you listen to zombie it's pretty fucking brutal. sick shit it is.

@ISetYourFaceOnFire - If we're now speaking albums rather than live performances, then yea, I can see where their crazy fanbase comes from. Zombie was by far their best work, they've all grown a lot in skill since Plagues. (Not a huge jump, but still.)

Actually I agree with antonnoh, because if you compare studio version with this.. well, there's a big difference.. I'm not saying that they are bad, but I wish they're clean would sound like they sound in studio version, then it would be very good.

@KillswitchJohn august burns red is so weak ,magazines give there new album a 1 on a 1 through 10 scale and i totally agree,until they change there sound or music,they cant sound half as good as Tdwp,or sell as much albums and Tdwp is a very popular band,Everybody knows them

@Chris0334 i completley agree dude. august burns red has alright music, but they fail to progress there soud any further then a simple metalcore band. they have nothing special for them. all there songs sound the same pretty much

@TheGerthax I know that's your opinion, but it completely sucks. Listen to their first cd: Thrill Seeker, and then listening to their most recent: Constellations. If you can't tell the difference and the growth then I don't think you have quite the ear to make assessments like the one you just made.
