I agree that dogs like to work and mostly want to please their owners. And, your point about anthropomorphism is well taken. However, I do question an owner that would ask a dog to perform a pointless and potentially orthopedically debilitating task of pull an excessive amount of weight. Check your spelling; I don't agree that I'm an "imbecile".

@bladeimm If you pack on too much weight, it can be a health risk, but I assure you that pullers never do more than their dog can handle and they train the dogs' bodies for years...ever since they're old enough to walk. They start with just a pound of sugar and over the years they work it up to somethign as big as a car, but it takes years...sometimes 5 or 6. I train pulling dogs and I make sure to never go over the dog's limit.

Am pretty sure someone has already thoght of this but pitbull rescues CAN provide their own energy by simply runnig them on treadmills hooked up to generators or something somewhere along those lines, you get the idea,
