The fulfillment of the Nazi Eugenic idea, was a superior were Aryans which had roots in the Orient. Whilst, criminals, and the handicapped were the result of poor genes. At no time, did they attempt to create a "super solider" using biological experiments.

Eugenics as an aim, did not seek to correct, improve, or cure what they saw as undesired human traits. It was quite the contrary, they wanted to eradicate the rouge genes by sterilization or execution.

you could also argue that he was not good enough until he was modified, the argumentation is not very compelling. He always says they help him which implies that he needs the help to do something great. He can only become a "masterhuman" by being modified. It is a mislead agenda just like the Nazi Agenda which states that some humans are better than others because of their biological features. There is nothing that resembles the American Dream in that. The analysis is simply romanticizing it.

An interesting interpretation but I think this video is missing the point. Cap was created as anti-nazi propaganda. Yes its unfortunate that cap happens to be the nazi image of perfection but comics characters to this very day continue to mostly be white straight dudes. Its just a sign of the times. Its not about portraying or achieving a master race. One could say cap is actually refuting the nazi ideology by being their image of perfection but fighting against their cause and methedology.

In response: As a child, I read every Captain American comic from his 1964 reintroduction until the 1980s. I know Kirby and Lee's history well. Many of you are missing the point; the differences between the Nazi desire for the perfect Aryan and the American desire for an enhanced soldier are exactly what this is about. Still, both are trying to enhance people (Nazis with eugenics, US with lab science). And BTW, eugenics was strong in the US as well. Still, it is the differences that matter.

@usmctorres He's talking more about his appearance and genetics. The Spartans didn't believe in the Aryans. The Nazi mythology involves the Aryan race living thousands of years ago and ruling the jews through force. The Jews tried to fight back but couldn't so they took the Aryan women and raped them and mixed their genes, essenially "killing" the Aryan species and polluting their race with the "jew" genes. Hence the irony of Cap looking like an Aryan and fighting for freedom, not control.

I think you are right towards the end... I haven't seen the movie yet... but I don't think the metamorphosis had anything to do with genetics... actually I think its the opposite..like you said they take some one who is near the bottom of the genetic totem pole and he becomes great down playing genetics' importantce.. I'm not very well versed in nazi philosophy but they believe genetics is king do they not?
