Fresno-ites have nothing better to do than make awesome public service announcements cuz there's absolutely nothing to do there! Besides picking strawberries!
Please ask your Congressman to support the Fire Sprinkler Incentive Act of 2009 (H.R.1194)
The complete total cost of fire is estimated at $317 billion, or roughly 2.8% of
U.S. gross domestic product & 117 priceless Firefighters lives (2007) Send letters, emails & phone calls to politicians as this bill was squashed in 2007, Only we the people can pressure them to pass it this time!
Insurance companies ARE all for these important systems. However, the developers who build houses doesn't want to incur the costs. The City of Riverside (CA) requires them (now) but the local developers are constantly pressuring the City Council to drop the requirement. Its all about money, always is. Tip of the hat to Chief Bruegman and the Dept for finding an entertaining way to get out the message.
Bravo to Fresno Fire Department for delivering a message that people need to hear! Bruegman continues to be a visionary Chief and using new media to deliver these important messages!
The hubby installed ours while the house was being built. It was less than $1000 for a two story home. We save a flat 25% on our home owners insurance so it's already more than paid for itself! Our only regret is not paying a bit more for the recessed type that drop down in the event of a fire.
I wish fire sprinklers were in building code for homes. Insurance would cost less and SO MANY lives would be saved. I don't think it should be a luxury for the rich, but a necessity for all.
wowie! a real firefighter! :D I bet they cost a fortune to feed

Be safe to all the brothers out there.
EVERYONE!!! BE SURE that the National Association of Home Builders loses the fight against residential fire sprinklers!!!
They're trying to damage the protection set for our families and our firefighters!

This is an excellent idea. I wonder how much it costs?

No more than a carpet upgrade. People don't die in house fires with working automatic sprinklers.
