I don't think it mattered at all that the honda got beat. that BMW is a 3.2 while the civic is a huge 1.8 and on that note i think the honda did pretty damn well considering it was racing not only in the wet, but against an M3. The m3 comes ful modified with struts, sways, springs, etc. It is all mtech and ready for the track. You may have more power in the straights, but the m3 will smash on you in the corners and keep up fairly good in the straights.

yes, after market, as long as you have the money, you can make any car better than another. in that case, super charge the M3 and there's not way a camera could keep up... but that doesn't change the fact that the M3 is simply a better car. more efficient more fun, better made, better transmission etc... not saying your car is bad, just that the bmw is gonna be more well rounded

i'm comparing an M3 that is in the same class and built in the same year. the power->weight ratio is within 3% of one other. and since i live in the UK, import costs are cheaper and i don't have to wait any time at all. all i need to do is get it checked over which would take about a day or two, then register it. i could import it and drive it within a month.

so a mint condition of each car would cost roughly the same. that's what i'm trying to prove.
