yes it is wrong but there is no other way around it....most of the drugs side effects and physiological finding have been derived from animal testing....eg link between smoking and cancer was concluded by testing on dogs, and polio vaccine was derived form monkey kidneys....

@muhammad152 actually, scientists claimed for decades that smoking didn't cause cancer because it didn't affect dogs. It was only by noticing that the majority of people with lung cancer were smokers, that they discovered that it wasn't good for humans.

If the tests were as necessary and as ethical as they say, why not use consensual humans instead of non-consenting animals? I'm sure you'd be able to find a few. Plus, the results would be 100% accurate instead of the 5-25% accuracy from animal tests.

Testing on animals is a good thing. There are a lot of promising technologies and medical treatment that are advancing and are being tested on animals. They start off with lab rats to make sure that things are okay. Would you people like it if we had to experiment with humans?
