    no,, you do not need lots of strength, to learn this, just good technique, you will only need strength unless you want to do like 30 in a row

  • i did a sorta flare... without the legs up... and with a finger jamm.... :( .. also, i had a wrist injurie skateboreing last year... will my rist be (re)-effected by doing this?

  • @Sachin4442: if you dedicate yourself to practicin minimum once a week for 3 hours. along with good ppl who can help you with them. (make sure they know how to do it. not just know the steps to it) then it might take you bout one month to get the first flare down yo. hope it helps.

  • @mcmickey625 i use to have the same problem i dont remember exactly how i fixed it but im pretty sure it has something to do with your timing or maybe your not holding your legs up long enough lol hope this helps

  • dont try and learn from this tutorial its crap... they ask you to go into a handstand before you can even do a single rotation... LOL and besides look at the person who displays the flares he cant even control his flare he changes directions all the time..

  • im new in breakdancing, so i want to ask, are flare and windmill hard to do? i mean like, do i have to have like much strenght? i'm asking because i have been practising breackdancing only 1 month so i would like some tips :)

    then while ur doing that have someone push down on your back little by little

    but dont go to far or you can hurt yourself bad

    then another one is jus sit on the ground with your legs spread as far apart in front of you as you can get

    then hav sumone push down on your back or hav someone else do the same thing with their feet pushing against yours and jus grab eachothers hands and pull while one person leans in and the other leans back

    then swich off

  • @Theftgrand50 why those stretches recommended to you sound harsh. an easy way is to just lean up against a wall, back on the ground, legs on the wall and let gravity do its work. its good cause it falls down at a good pace, and doesnt get u to stretch wrong and get your hips messed up and contorted.

  • @boogiepancake125 yeah, theyre completely different on the horse than they are on the floor. its much easier to get your momentum on a horse because theres no floor lol.

  • i need help....what if my flexibility sucks? like kicking your face, i cant seem to kick my face close enough or spread my legs wide...does this mean i have to rely on power ? Or this has to do with momentum?

  • lol im 10 and i can already pull of a flare one of the key things to do is when your at halfway try kicking your face it will give you more momentum and more strength to continue onto your second flare =)

  • that most likely because your abs arent strong enough... try either leg lifts or just be patient and try really hard on pulling your leg up... do enough and your muscles will train themselves.

  • ur doing fine with ur flares but u should start ur flares like 0:31 cuz in ur video u start ur flares on the floor it looks weird lol and push ur hips out more

    I'm right handed and I go counter clock wise because my left hand has the easy job of starting on the ground first while my right has the harder and stronger job of catching my body during the flare.

  • you should do a flare going clockwise, if your right handed

  • i think the flare is better to learn than the windmill because the flare is like 5 easy steps, while the windmill is like 2 months of training, but great tutorial i got the flare down now:)

  • build up your uper strenght you need to suport yourself only on the hands and keep rotating your legs (just the legs not body must stay almoast still thats al i can say i can do 3 spins

  • u don't really need upper body streagth just to be able to support your self with ur hands

  • i'm a skinny assfucker with pretty good agillity, i can only lift 50 kg on the bench... and i still got 5 spins on this one. no strenght is needed, just find your balance and support yourself.

  • Flares. They require strength and dedication.

  • flare is a level 2 power move and windmil is a level 1.

    Flare is hard because many new dancers think u shall kick urself around,thats wrong,you shall kick and then lock your legs and then swing around not kick!swing and have straighten legs all the time and work with ur arms and upper bpdy

  • You can learn and do anything you want my friend. If your heart and spirit are high - there are no limits. :) Good luck. I am learning this myself as well. This seems to be a very good tutorial.
