I'd just like to throw in a point about the definition of "opinion" as it is commonly used and misused. An opinion is a subjective idea. A subjective idea is one that has no way, hypothetical or otherwise, of being right or wrong as stated. "Red is the best color" is an opinion. "Red is the best color where best means being associated with the most agreeable things" is not an opinion, whether or not it is true. And obviously, "a remaster/remake counts as a side game" depends on the working...

Even though FF2 was one of the worst (or THE worst) Final Fantasy, It had some gold like this.

And when I say FF2 I mean the Original FF2 (NES). Sadly, when most people talk about FF2 they talk about the remakes. The remakes are technically "side-final-fantasies" like Tactics, Legends and Mystic Quest series's.

@Shadowff61337 It was back when Final Fantasy wasn't all that well developed, you have to give it credit for what it had accomplished, remember, this was long ago, and games weren't all fancy like they are today. I mean, right now, I'm listening to this being amazed at the fact that it's much better then a lot of VGM today. Sure, it wasn't ALL that of a game today, but during it's time, It was a masterpiece.

Of Course I took that into consideration. One of the main problems was the fustration of leveling up spells. I spent almost 2 months leveling up 5-6 magic spells from LVL1 to LVL8. Having to cast a spell 50 times to level it up by one was the thing that pissed people who have played FF2 (the real one). FF2 was a good game but a lot NES games were incredibly difficult or buggy because they weren't tested enough. The soundtrack and story were great and some innovative ideas were good.

Actually I do. I have played and beat the remake version and the NES version of FF1 and FF2. There are more differences then just sprite, sound, and translation differences changes. It is similar compared to playing the NES Super Mario Bros and the SNES Super Mario Bros All-Stars remake.

Your opinion is that the games are similar, but they are not the same. There's a difference between a remake and a remastering. A remake is the same thing but done again. A remastering is the original AND MORE (extra dungeons, Soul of Rebirth etc). Remastered games are not the original games, therefore, a different experience.

Definition of ignorance: Lack of knowledge or information (Google). You didn't know the difference and are ignorant.

I'd say this is pretty definitively the worst game in the series. It's a bit...broken (the leveling up system is a total mess). Even the remakes are pretty...ugh.

I did manage to beat the thing, though.
