@Psycho3418 Maybe from an in-universe perspective there may have been a historical pony in their world named Pete or Peter who may have been an important figure or a relative/friend of Celestia in the past, which is probably why he is still mentioned and how the writers can still use the name and phrase without referencing our world, but of course that's just fan speculation and we may never know the truth... <:\
