I was there, Birmingham, 27th March 2011. When Manowar played "Hail to England" the crowd went into raptures. It was a momentous occasion. Manowar were fantastic.

It`s a financial thing...Manowar like to play big shows and they can`t do that in Britain as the fanbase isn`t large enough. No promoter is going to give Manowar the size stage and money they want to play a show because the demand wouldn`t be there. Manowar have allegedly turned down the chance to play small clubs in England recently...probably the best bet is the Bloodstock festival but they`ve said in the past they just can`t meet the band`s asking price :-/

I'm a huge Manowar fan, for slaytanic1 nails this one. I wish Manowar would play the UK, but they just won't come here because, and I hate to say this Manowar aren't popular in the UK... only mainstream metal like Metallica, Maiden and a host of other crap-arsed emo bands would be able to play at large arenas. Plain and simple, the UK's metal fan base is f'ing shallow, man.

There will be mate, but unless the right deal comes about for the group, they won't be back for a very long time. It's all financial, even for the Kings of Metal.
