I think what happened in Tiananmen Square was the most disgusting display of crime that a country could commit to its people. Over 2000 people killed, those were brothers, sisters, daughters, sons, boyfriends, girlfriends and essentially each one of them was a person, a living breathing human being that was executed by a corrupt and greedy government. Those officials ordered an attack on those protesters so they could go on with their ways, damaging a country for their own greed, thats digusting

@ZombieSlayer918 The Type 59 tanks don't have any outside guns besides the ones facing forward from the turret and the glacis, so once you're climbing around on top of the turret you can only be shot if one of the crew comes out the top with a handheld firearm.
Of course, they could knock you off the turret pretty easily.

If he were hard core commie he could of just popped that Type 59 tank in gear and mowed Tank Man's ass down into a Beijing pancake. But he didn't. It's hard not to kill civilians, I agree, when some use them as human shield. And Taliban taking the food - of course they do, they need it too. @foretagab No one really has any proof. Only speculations and rumors. Some say they were secret police who carried him off, some say they were concerned citizens or friends trying to help him and that he's in hiding somewhere. Either way, what we DO know about him is his courage and that he stood up for what he believed in. And like someone earlier pointed out, at the time, he didn't even realize what an impact what he did would have.

It could be seen reporters from all countries and students themselves holding video cameras and mechanical cameras. But haven't seen a single image or video could prove the so called "massacre". He invites the driver to run him over, and continue on, probably to massacre thousands, but ironically, that's what makes it so impossible for the tanks to run him over.
