11/21/11-Tim Thomas made 33 saves for his second straight shutout and the Bruins won their ninth straight game for the first time in almost 4 years, beating the Montreal Canadiens 1-0 Monday night. Thomas has 3 shutouts during Boston's streak.Thomas, pushed his personal scoreless streak to 133 minutes, 4 seconds. Thomas made 33 saves,The Habs out-shot the Bruins by 15 but that didn't stop Tim Thomas and the rest of the B's from shutting out their second consecutive opponent.
I love watching this man play, not because of his ridiculous superman saves, but because of the smile shining through his mask at every game! Here's a man that truly does not take for granted a single second of playing on that ice. Here's to a game 7 victory for the black and gold!
@8kcht3 he plays on one of the best teams in the league who keeps shots 95 % of the time at either the blue line or the boards... how many weak goals does tim thomas give up? If he was soo good, why did he start playing in the nhl in his thirties? Fuck,
@kewlnsimpguy Some people are naturally gifted and reach the pinnacle of their career early on. Others have to struggle hard. Thomas is in the later category. And that, in my view, just makes him even more admirable. I like fighters who work their butt off. You can't take anything away from this guy.
@kewlnsimpguy You're right that his defensemen truly help him to be his best. But that isn't the sole factor in play. It's foolish to talk down his ability. Rask is playing on the same team, and you can feel free to check out his stats. Rask could be a starter on many teams in this league, but he is nowhere close to Thomas's ability.
Rinne also has a great defensive corps and doesn't stand up to Thomas's numbers. Miller and DiPietro are examples of great goalies with bad defense.
@kewlnsimpguy One on one? well never heard of a 1 on 1 hockey game but if there was id still take em not like ima pick bullshitty ass price or LeBrongo
@kewlnsimpguy he is amazing, as a flyers fan i admit that, he won the vezina 2 years ago and had back problems last year and then broke the record for best save % in a season, he had .945 for most of the season until it came down at the end but hasek didnt become a starter until 29 and 30 and he is arguably the best goalie ever so i dont know where your going on this one
@GoalieTributesHD hey it's gotten him the vezina 2 years ago, he'll win it this year. he set the record for save % in a season and he's playing in the stanley cup finals. i'm sure if you could do the same you would.
I'm a Caps fan, but Tim Thomas is still my favorite player. He is AWESOME.

hes really not that great, the reason he makes great saves is because he stinks positionally.

@NHLfan96 no. He won the vezina because of great numbers. One on one I would take 10 goalies over Timmy.
