  • u mad?

  • Thats the fastest drum&bass drumming i have ever seen ;D

  • LOL it looks like your spazzing out LOLOLOL

  • Epic :D

  • I lol'd

  • made my day!

  • why is it 7 seconds???

  • Well, YouTube screwed it up because there was some music running in the background... I will be more careful in the future :-)

  • @Jungleritter stupid youtube

  • PENIS!!!

  • I think this video has been recently corrupted or something since for me its only playing for 7 seconds in fast forward? Might require a reupload but this video is 2 years old so?

  • Thanks for letting me know! I guess YouTube decided to corrupt the video, it has some music playing in the background, probably a copyright issue. Just the way they handle this isn´t nice...

  • wtf

  • erm when i watch it the video takes 7 seconds....

  • HIIiiII!

  • which hi hat do you use?? sounds great. I'm currently looking for a good one, to do nice grooves with, some sparkly sound. What do you think about the one you use? or can you recomend me some? tnx

  • There are lots of great hi-hats around, hard to recommend something specific. The one I´m using is a 13" Zildijan K. I´t´s a very versatile hi-hat and I´m quite happy with it.

  • Clingtone is the tune in the background, its on 50 of the biggest drum and bass tunes mixed by dj randall

  • Maybe someone has already asked this question but.. What's the song in the background? :)

  • I forgot which tune it was because it is on a mixtape, another viewer left the title in a comment a while ago: Current Value, C.Y.T.E.C.H. (The archangel)

  • so when you do the left hand lead snare/hat/snare/hat thing, do u hit the hi hit on the next beat or is it just kick?

  • Usually it´s just kick! The hi-hat comes in after beat 1, depending on what kind of beat you play.

    Cheers

    Ydna

  • thnx mate that was useful...

  • nice grooves! I like your snare sound! which kind of snare is?

  • A 14" Brady and the aux is a 10" Black Panther Mapex

    Cheers

    Ydna

  • Hey mann, deine Videos sind echt Klasse! Hat mir schon sehr geholfen!

    best regards

    Simon

  • Hey Simon, vielen Dank, dass freut mich :-)

    Gruesse Ydna

  • Current Value, C.Y.T.E.C.H. (The archangel - best amen-tune ever in my opinion!!) and Donny!

    Greez

  • ich denke du kommst aus Deutschland und kannst auch deutsch reden ^^

  • Jo, das kann ich in der Tat :-)

  • es gibt aber nicht nur deutsche user ^^

  • You know there is a german raveparty or somethin next door, that kind of interupts ur whole audio track?

  • Great instruction, but I got a question: What's the tune playing in the background? It's awesome!

  • I think it´s an Aphrodite song, but I´m not sure, just happened to throw in a CD, forgot what it was :-)

  • Hehe, oh well. If you ever find it again I'd love to know what it is. :D

  • which of those snare strokes are rim shots?

  • I always use rim shots when I play accents and backbeats, the other notes are regular strokes.

  • Can you also recommend a few D&B groups, that might be especially enjoyable and inspirational for drummers interested in D&B? Thanks!

  • I like Aphrodite, Chase & Status, Limewax, Optical, Roni Size, Moving Shadow Label among others, there´s some great stuff out there, try to subscribe to drum&bass arena here on youtube to discover great new music.

  • Dieselboy and Subfocus.

  • limewax is a god

  • What Jungleritter suggested is a good idea, I also really like youtube searching "Dnb" and then making it a playlist search. You get a lot of cool songs.

  • Comment removed

  • Mate for drums you gotta check Photek, Boymerang, Source Direct, Danny Breaks and Paradox.

  • What are some good tempo's to push to for these licks? How fast will be too fast? 170? 180?

  • Everything between 160 and 200 is common in d&b..

  • 155 - 180 is drum and bass

  • 13" Zildijan K´s

  • Thanks !!!

  • what is that song in the background ?

  • I forgot which song it was, I listen to so much d&b, can´t really tell anymore, sorry :-)

  • Bad Company - The Nine (but there are maybe two songs, BC is the second one).

  • das hat mir mal ganz andere ideen zu drum patterns gegeben, wirklich hilfreich! 5* & thumbs up :)

  • genial. danke für die schlagzeug-tipps. Hier ein medientechnischer von mir. Du solltest die Hintergrundmusik entfernen.

  • Yeah, I actually belong to the German tribe, they live somewhere right in the middle of Europe :-)

  • Have fun with it alright! Just what my band and I are getting into! Thanks for the tips!

  • No, it´s a Paiste 2002. It sounds great... :-)

  • nice sounds, cool.

Is that a Zildjian Oriental Trash China I see to the right of your kit? They sound gooood :)

  • Cool grooves man...and beautiful sounding kit..

  • the music in the background is annoying as fuck

  • what a shiny drum kit! :)

  • I think I can do whatever I want, can´t I, dude? Look somewhere else if you don´t like it.

  • Love it baby;p

  • my problem is to play the HiHat that fast :-)

..but practise is the key to it ^^

  • I love your bass drum, it actually has some musical quality to it. Really makes those fills you do sound smooth.

  • paiste alphas are sick, such a good range and variety of cymbals, very well priced as well!, great drumming

  • wat u on about Adustalarm?

  • uuuuuhhmm...... dude. he did. very well. maybe you're not used to hearing things off-beat? listen to some DnB, there's a lot of CRAZY off the wall stuff.

  • hahaha adustalarm doesnt know anything about drumming hahahah

  • Meinl is the best....:D...ever played on MB10 or MB20....they are really great...:D

  • Sabian Leopard Cymbals are GREAT! The Paiste Alphas aren´t that great in my opinion, but you sure can use them for drum ´n bass drumming!

  • is paiste alpha sound edge good for d n b, and raide hand hammer sabian leparde??

  • whats the tune playing in the backgorund called?

  • dude aundreas nice u have alot of drums lol ur good

  • what hihats are u using ? sound nice !

  • Zildijan K´s, 13"

  • nice stuff dude.

  • Thx alot, please keep posting others like this :D

  • very nice video nice technique :) ty

  • Wouldn't it be better without any background music? I think having some tune playing can be quite distracting

  • very good lesson. very helpful.
