@SaintBasketcase Here's A Few For Ya!.... Whiskey on the Rocks - AC/DC, Whiskey Lullaby - Brad paisley and Alison Krauss, Whiskey River - Willie Nelson, Whiskey Man - Molly Hatchet, Whiskey Women and Time - Bo Bice, Whiskey Girl - Toby Keith, Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar) - The Doors, Whiskey Rock n Roller - Lynyrd Skynyrd :D
There's a Swedish version of this song ("Skärsliparens sång"), but other than the same chords, beats and rhythms, it's a completely different song. The lyrics has nothing in common with this.
There are a lot of versions of this song. It was Kilgary Mountain backin the 1950s with some different music and lyrics. Under the title "Whiskey in the Jar" it has been most often recorded by the Dubliners, in traditional style. In 1972, Thin Lizzy made a rock version. These days both the traditional and rock versions have been covered. Metallica's version is a Thin Lizzy cover. I like the Dubliner's version the best. This one is traditional played a little faster, not the rock one.
