If you odnt want to buy the upgrade then dont : ) There are still 100's of materials in the free version, 1000's of paint colors and a small number of objects and you can use the digital camera function to add your own objects all in the free version.
Almost all "free software" has an upgrade of some kind for sale.
NO you cant use the mouse pad built into a laptop computer, although technically it will work it is uncontrollable, you will just be unhappy with the way the software works if you try to use the mouse pad on your laptop.
The room size is scalable, anything that you use the shapes tool to create you can scale, If you watch the video "Interior Design " in my videos this shows how to do this.
The furniture is not scaleable ( just like in the real world ) however the master upgrade allows you to override furniture scale and wall height etc.
I download it for free I just comment to their website that give me that fir free and they send me a url I click it and I download it free!

my room is empty. it has no image at all.. what should i do?

it says that u need a seperate mouse but can a mouse pad on a laptop still be used??
