Right there with LT and Bruce Smith as the best Defensive players of all time. If someone was to show a chart of the number of catches made by the opposing teams top receiver in games against Green. It would show how remarkable he really was. He allowed the rest of the secondary to play zone. I'm don't have anything to back it up with but I bet Jerry Rice averaged less that 2 receptions a game against the Skins. Easily the best corner in history.
Darrell Green showed effort in this rag tag game after retirement. His commitment to football was amazing and he was the epitome of consistent defensive play.

He may have been a good football player, but he's not that 'godly' of a man. He's part of an investor group that owes contractors $3.4 million. See Fox 5 investigates clip on YouTube.
get the fuck out of here man. dont bring that shit here unless you personally now him then dont say anything. yea thats y when i saw him at a big bbq he gave everyone an auto graph and free green cards. he was awsome. yes he is a godly man. he is going to be a preacher dumbass.
I'm the biggest Dallas fan of all time but I want to congratulate Darrell Green on his HOF induction and Art Monk (inexplicable slighted) for FINALLY being inducted about six years too late. Just insulting that he was left out all that tiem. A long time coming.
D. Green, at age 47, three months ago, ran a 4.3 40. His son, age 17, ran a 4.5 40. You cant teach speed, but you can grow it. D Green, Art Monk, HOF 2008
I know this would never happen, but I would love to see these guys put the pads on.

If every player played like DG now, we would be 16 - 0 as a record because of his efforts.
(unlike Brunnel)
