i was at this concert too, i was 14 years old at the time and close to the stage-1st concert, amazing. i met stevies brother that day. so cool to hear this, it makes me cry thanks!
Grace, why do you say that? I've seen her at Compton and other venues, but thought it was only me (didn't know her dad owned it at the time) who felt there was more of an intimate feel, but I was close to the stage. It was so bare, almost crude, by today's standards. But I loved it! Rain and thunder (yes, w/lightning) delayed her, but it was still worth it. Today's tarts would just cancel and in the trailer or hotel. I'd seen her in Saratoga before, but that's a whole different world.

I was at this concert ! Compton Terrace was the BEST place to watch Stevie, she was at home there.

I believe she wrote this for Dolly Parton to sing during the Buckingham Nicks Era, but it never got to Dolly.
