Why the delay from Obama in criticizing Wright? I believe Obama had to talk to Wright and ask him if it were OK to criticize Wright without Wright destroying Obama in returen. Jeremiah Wright is not racist you dumb fucks, he doesn't think most whites have any more power than blacks. He just thinks that there is a secret circle, a secret society if you will, that really runs this country, and that THAT particular group is largely racist. And you know what, history supports his belief to some extent, this country was openly racist against blacks until like the 80's. And the drug thing is true, there's evidence to support that claim.
If a white preacher said that white on white murder was bad because that's the "wrong enemy," would that be racist? If Wright were white and had given David Duke a lifetime achievement award, would that qualify as racist? If Wright was white and believed nutty and paranoid conspiracy theories about blacks seeking to harm whites, would that be racist?

As to your first question, yes it would be racist, but it wouldn't be if blacks had a history of abusing and oppressing whites in a widespread, government sanctioned racist system...like whites did to blacks until like the 70's. The David Duke comparison doesn't apply, LOTS of whites that I know DO believe conspiracy theories about the government and the government made it a regular practice to conspire to harm blacks for hundreds of years, so the idea isn't exactly farfetched.
And I don't care what you say (or what he said); the fact that he had white members in his church, white associate ministers, and a great relationship with white fellow pastors shows that he is not "racist". White members in his church and whites that have visited his church talk about how warmly and lovingly they were embraced by Wright and the people there. Racist whites don't lovingly embrace blacks. Why the delay from Obama in criticizing Wright? I believe Obama had to talk to Wright and ask him if it were OK to criticize Wright without Wright destroying Obama in returen. As to your first question, yes it would be racist, but it wouldn't be if blacks had a history of abusing and oppressing whites in a widespread, government sanctioned racist system...like whites did to blacks until like the 70's. The David Duke comparison doesn't apply, LOTS of whites that I know DO believe conspiracy theories about the government and the government made it a regular practice to conspire to harm blacks for hundreds of years, so the idea isn't exactly farfetched.

Obama doesn't say which statements made by Wright he disagrees with and which ones he agrees with. He further says he can not disassociate with him. This is his mentor? This is who he exposes his children to? You will not be exposing my children to this trash.

His speeches have no substance...it's sweet-talk drivel that the sheeple eat up happily. An inspirational man lacking in any inspirational ideas...a pretty face here to woo the ignorant and politically-uninformed; a rockstar candidate for the MTV generation. Sad...I can't stand Hillary but at least she talks about specific policies in her speeches...you can tell there's a brain in her head at least...not just a recorder full of happy, empty phrases.

if you were to add up all the money america's so-called rich white politicians have spent over the last thirty years in the form of housing, food, and education in order to help black americans the numbers would be staggering. and, of course, much the same could be said for america's contributions to africa. amazing how, in the light of that, someone could be so amazingly hostile and hate-filled towards this great nation of ours, a nation of unprecdented compassion and generosity.

Denies veterans benefits, denies lower middle class healthcare for children etc.
You're talking about stopgap measures and yes, they cost money also. The solution is the elimination of racism and bigotry in the US. We're not nearly there yet.

The fact that Obama spent nearly 20 years listening to this racist, not to mention the fact that Obama strongly admires Wright doesn't say much about his integrity. If this had been a white pastor spewing the same racist rhetoric there would be hell to pay. Obama is a liar, which makes his foray into politics appropriate.

Pursuing faith is a difficult thing. I think it's commendable that Barack has had a faith in God for such a long time. He will lead in an ethical manner and govern with a fear of God. We cannot sum up Jeremiah's life based on a few soundbites and we definitely cannot ascribe his statements to Barack. Barack is his own man and we can tell from his words that he is a great man. None of us is guilty by association, otherwise many of us would not be who we are today. Viva America! Viva Barack!

Personally I believe faith is a BAD THING. I lean more towards Gandhi. Remove religion in the US for two years and most of the sociological/sexual ills and perversities disappear, says George Carlin. A statesman CE 2008 so bombastic about such things shows someone intent on playing the Okey Dokey.
