  • He missed? He must be a worst shot then Elmer and Sam LOL

  • To be fair though, in today's sue happy society they're just protecting their own asses.

    Thank god for YouTube.

  • I love this. One of my favorite episodes growing up. They still show looney toons on cartoon network but not as much. How unfortunate.

  • I missed fortunately for you :-D

  • loved this show, dont think this would air these days though lmao

  • Great Memories with this episode lmao!! i love Pepe and Penelope!!

  • "You come here!"

"Please come out so I can love you"

"I am staying right in here"

    "RAWRWRWWRWRWRARARWrR!!"

    "Why not?"

    "Because you stink!"

    "Meeeee?"

    :C

  • @dementeddentist Thanks for the translation. I don't speak violin. I wonder: Why did they make Pepe Le Pew's nationality French? Were they trying to say that the French stink? Comments please....

  • @TheTallMan35 Pepe Le Pew is french because the french are known for being romantic. He smells because he happens to be a skunk. That's the contrast, lol.

  • a little melodramatic there eh Pepe? lol

  • i love pepe le pew he's soooo adorabley cute <3

  • episode is For Scent-imental Reasons

  • Which episode is this from.

  • ohh!!! pepe estan romantico xD

  • I just loove Pepe!<3...actually Pepe was the one who inspiried me to learn french!:D...

  • never actually noticed how much the old cartoons used to get shot in the head and talk about making love...but i dont think its bad at all for kids i mean how come we were all fine watching this as kids...the cartoons now a days cant even be compared to the amazing ones there used to be

  • 0:25 lololol even someone like Pepe gets sexually frustrated too no? XD

  • Pepe Le Pew, you're a genius!

I'd have never tought of that!! XD!

  • @PianoSaraTimBurton his method is desperately extreme, but it worked lol genius indeed!

  • 0:42 is where Pepe takes out his gun and shoots himself

  • "I Missed !" (Fortunately for You)

  • men! smh... xD

  • I like the funny-sounding violin dialogue. ^^

  • XD Dear god back when I first saw this when I was 6, Pepe's gun went off and I screamed out loud, "NNOOO!!!" lol I just did it again 15 years later I did it again! XD

  • no no no this wasin't edited in the 80's. I rember it clearly beacuse when I was a kid i was infatuated with pepe le pew.

  • wow he is so pussy whipped lol

  • OH MEN!!! I startled by the sound of the shot! Hahahahaha ... And the face of the Penelope after huh? Hahahaha ... Poor thing!

  • Oh, they edited the hell out of this cartoon back in the '80s when it was on ABC Saturday morning...I think it ran about a minute long.

I love that impotent, silent tantrum at 0:25 with the soft music overlaid!

  • ahahahahaaaa!!!! PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fuckin rapist she is a cat not a damn skunk well she is a pussy but thats a different story lol

  • does anybody know in which episode he chases her in a house for the whole episode?? I would be grateful if somebody knows!

  • @metalhoodmetalhood I think it's this one. You may need to watch some more of it. It's called "For Scent-Imental Reasons," btw

  • @BigBreakingNewsFound ah indeed i found it thank you so much :]

  • ... Goddamn Pepe. >_> Stop making me love you. He's a manipulative rapist, and yet he's my favorite. I must be an awful person.

Considering all of the crap he's caused her, though, you think she'd just be a little surprised. How many times has he tried to molest her now?

  • 0:06: Penelope:Hi Pepe Pepe:Come out Penelope. Oh please sweetie i will kiss you. Penelope:Im not going out a stay ever. Pepe:GET OUT NOW! But why? Penelope:Because you stink. Pepe:MEEEEEEEEEEEEE bye bye 0:53 Penelope:Oh no Pepe:I miss fortanitly for you :D
  • "who meeee? "

  • hahaha...she's totally me when it comes to the guy i'm dating. my stubborness drives him nuts. hahaha...great cartoon. loving it. thanks for uploading this.

  • l'adore xx

  • holy crap I thot he really did it?!

  • The shooting-self-in-head thing would absolutely be censored out on most American channels if they played this cartoon these days. Must wrap our children in bubble wrap and all that.

  • Actually, it was censored out on ABC's "Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show" in the 1990s. Cartoon Network did have it uncut until 2003 (after which, I hated the channel and didn't really feel bad when they stopped airing Looney Tunes).

  • @WUZLE Yes. Ugh. People are too sensitive nowadays.

  • @WUZLE they cut the suicide out but promote sexuality glee, britney, miley, lindsay, etc etc etc makes no sense indeed

  • @WUZLE I caught this very scene on Cartoon Network today at around 2pm, and, much to my delight, it was completely uncensored. Gives me hope that at least some people know not to mess with the good stuff.

  • @WUZLE Yes, because America wants to save the youth of the counrty from being significantly influenced by a skunk shooting himself in the head.

Most of the youngens who would watch this would never know the signifigance in that.

  • @jamocha101

If you don't think there are people who'd complain if they saw this on television these days, you are fooling yourself. Lots of stuff was censored out of Looney Toons cartoons over the years -- people smoking, guns and so on.

  • @WUZLE I'm not suggesting people wouldn't complain, I'm suggesting the folly in it. Or what seems like folly, in my opinion. As in always, I could be wrong.

  • @WUZLE I remember watching this on tv too and I didnt turn out trigger happy. Shame we cant enjoy the things that we use to. Funny because with all the things they censor nowadays, kids are more rude & violent then they were years ago.

  • @TheViva11 if someone trys to scolts or speaks out loud to a child they put him to jail no wonder that so bad. I understand if they are 3 years old but after 6 they have to know who the boss in the house whats good and bad

  • @WUZLE May have been true a year ago when you posted, but I'm not so sure now. One of the Bugs & Yosemite cartoons played within this past week or two actually used an "off-camera gunshot" gag right at the end - and in previous TV airings (even on Cartoon Network, I think) that part had never played.

(I think it was the episode "Ballot Box Bunny".)

  • @WUZLE jajajaja wrap children in a bubble if someone want to do that then they have to cancel every news chanel, internet in 99.9%

  • @WUZLE This was on american Cartoon Network today

  • @WUZLE Not true. I just saw this cartoon on cartoon network with the gun and everything. It's one of the few networks that still produces shows that both kids and adults can enjoy, instead of baby-shit.

  • "Must wrap our children in bubble wrap and all that."

Right up to their awkward teen years where they suddenly learn they aren't as invincible as they thought, especially when they learn how to drive. :)

  • XD he had the crazy eyes she freakin felt for it.

  • I knew he faked it just so she would panic and come out...

  • "i missed, fortunately for you, so now, mon cherie, we can begin life anew."

    *she runs away*

    "c`este le gere"

  • i love this part always makes me smile and love how her eyes get all big lol

  • YES! That's very funny...

  • What the hell is wrong with this guy..... Playing with a gun, tricking females and going after a PUSSYcat.... And I use to LOVE these Cartoons......... LOL I still do!!!! LOL

  • She is so funny..and when he sees that she doesn't like him and said he stinks...he pointed the gun to his head :)) so cooool...after she saw what she did..she ran to see if he is still alive..:)))

    and he was...waiting 4 her :))

    just love this pic :X

  • such a twisted way to get a lady interested in you but apparently it works xD

  • what is the name of this episode? This was the first pepe le pew that I ever saw. I must know the name.

  • For Scent-imental Reasons

  • i heart peppy!!!

  • I love Pepe. <33 "I missed! Fortunately for you."

  • HAHA OWNED!

  • Have to agree.Absolutely hilarious.XX

  • i love this cartoon i like the part where he points the gun to his head then he says i missed thats one funny cartoon

  • It was called "Really Scent" (1959, directed by Chuck Jones's animator Abe Levitow)

  • My favorite scene from the whole series! <333

  • I love his mad expressions while she's in the case

  • she loves the attention!!!

  • i had a friend that everyone him pepe le pew

  • That...was...AWESOME!!! I can't believe I've never seen this episode before, & I used to love watching Loony Toons. I remembered Pepe always being so calm & cool. It's great to see him frustrated for once. Plus, how can you beat a surprise ending like that?

BTW, what is Penelope doing w/her "fingers" at 00:10 & 00:31?

  • Snapping her fingers....wait, cats have fingers?

  • i would had told pepe to have a bath than id come out he's hot

  • lol reminds me of... me hahaha well it does..

  • French people?

  • no, lol his effectionate love for the girl

  • This is an epic moment in animation history, for two reasons: 1. The excelent use of body language and music to replace dialouge and 2. We find out what Pepe does when he finds out that he actually smells. Friggin' amazing!

  • This wasn't the only time he found out about his odor. I remember once, he realized it, and went to some place to have it removed. What made it hilarious was that right before that, Penelope figured "If you can't beat 'em, join em" and went to a place right next door and came out smelling like a skunk. Of course, Pepe--now odor-free--ran like hell. ( bwhahaha. Payback's a le' b**ch, ain't it, Pepe? )

  • i <3 pepe Xp

  • Does anyone understand that Penelope needs to wear a gas mask?

  • wow, pepe's suicidal... who knew?

  • wow pepe's suicidal, who knew?

  • its so strange how much pepe relationship is like any other relationship, theres always going to be a cat and mouse player. problem is who going to be the cat and who going to be the mouse. LOve what would people do without it.

  • What if Pepe got murdered by himself? His career will ended quickly. I LOVE YOU, PEPE AND PENELOPE! By the way, he didn't die. Thank god.

  • thats so twisted lol

  • ahahaha

  • awsome

  • Lol I Missed 4 U

  • what kindof message was that sendin to kids... maybe pepe inspired budd dwyer

  • 0:53! haha pepe rox! its me XD

  • I liked her face at 0:53 after he shot himself. She was like "OMG!"

  • Oh man, I remember being so sad when he was like: "Me?"

  • great XD
