  • its spelt Oregon

  • HAHAHA My B, must have gotten ahead of myself typing.

  • I didn't see any Oregon ANG eagles in a couple of the clips, thats what they are flying in this. Thats not to say that the pilot might have been filmed in that documentary. As for "Mogus" I'm not sure if thats a call sign, a flight name, or a brevity code...

  • "MoGas" is a popular Oregon ANG F-15 pilot. He's been in a few interviews for shows on the Military Channel about the Oregon F-15s and the local news, he's kinda their spokesperson pilot.

  • "mogas 2 flare" isn't that the same call sign of the pilot in a discovery documentary also uploaded to youtube? so same pilots?

  • "Mogas 2 flare" isn't the callsign. He was making a tactical call to his wingman. Mogas 2, "flare". Meaning the lead aircraft(that would have been Mogas1) was telling Mogas2(his wingman) to employ flares(heat decoys).

  • yes i know but what i meant was that i saw a video on discovery with the 2 pilots calling each other also as mogas 1 and mogas 2, so i wondered whether those where the same pilots.

what i meant with "mogas 2 flare" was the word "mogas" on that scentence

  • Hard to say. Callsigns are usually squadron or wing dependent and get used daily over and over again. I heard a call for Mogas3 in there, so it sounded like there was a 3-4 ship flight present.
