  • send it back i see a line running down the blade and the bowie was made in sheffield uk the place where i workt

  • @bucketrobbert around 3.17 video mark you see the mark on the blade

  • where did you buy that ?

  • @drpepper19997 willeyknives(dot)com

  • song name please

  • @cowboysfromhell159 Welcome Home - Coheed & Cambria

  • what good is a knife if u leave it in a box

  • Yeah' Bowie's are illegal to carry on your person in Texas, and you can't have one in the passenger seat of your car, apparently Texas law classifies any knife over five inches long as illegal, (which of course covers most Bowie knives) although that doesn't stop them from being sold over here at gun & knife shows around the state.

  • @cha5 Over 5.5" you can't carry in Texas. 5.5" and less you can carry. No Bowies like you said and no switchblades, daggers and autos.

  • @bamnmetal Yeah, it seems like I was wrong though about it being absolutely forbidden to have a Bowie in your car in Texas. The exceptions for Bowie carrying according to 'Texas Health Saftey & Morals 46.02' are quote

"Exceptions: Official actor was own premises; was traveling; engaged in lawful hunting, fishing, or other sporting activity; security guard."

So if you're out in the country going hunting and you have a Bowie in your car trunk you're probably okay. Just not on your person.

  • @bamnmetal This is from the 'Contreras V State' ruling from 1993 in Texas Weapon laws quote "The statute requires only a particular form of (weapon) possession: carrying on or about the person. which includes, in our modern view, the interior of ones vehicle. Under the statutes and the case law interpreting the statutes it is illegal to carry a pistol club or illegal knife on your person or generally inside the passenger compartment of your vehicle including the glove compartment

  • @cha5 This is not true. It is legal in Texas to keep a concealed a handgun in your car now without a CHL.

  • @bamnmetal Cont

This applies even though the weapon is taken apart or unloaded. If you need to transport a handgun you may do so in the trunk of a vehicle."

So if you're down in the lone star state just remember, Bowie Knife in your car trunk, good.

Bowie Knife clipped to your belt out on an open neighborhood street, get ready to get tazed or shot by the police.

  • @edgedweapon88 yea,i think it's a better idea ^^ thanks for the advice guy! ^^

  • Well we will have to be content with easter basket shovels for now until we get the American Hand Implement started to lobby for our rights. lol

  • @Strutingeagle If you get that movement going I will be the first to join!

  • I spose if someone has a shovel too sharp it would be classified an illegal shovel.

  • @Strutingeagle Yes it would be classified as an Illegal Assault Shovel and you would have to register it with the ATF. That would probably also come with a 4 month waiting period before you could pick it up! haha

  • Thanks for the video edgedweapon88. I thought all of these were long gone. I called Willey Knifes and serial number 99 of 100 is on it's way. Very nice people at Willey's. Makes me wish I lived closer to NH so I could visit them. When you se them tell them you sold SN 99 of 100. Oh, I chose that number, there are many more knives left.

  • Texas is also where a lot of book pressing and printing is done and their history books barely cover the Alamo and U.S.history in it's entirety which is wrong this country has kissed enough foreign butt now and enough is enough;nice knife by the way and U.S. made at that, something made here has become rare and that's sad.

  • thats a beast of a bowie how much was it :D

  • Question how much (posted before watchin whole video)

  • Beautiful knife!Texas must be trying to be retarded like N.Y. and C.A. now;hey can't have a Bowie knife but drink up,cross the border illegally and shoot black market guns yeah that makes sense.

  • holy shit!!!!

that is the most beautiful, shiney knives i have ever seen

  • Amazing!

  • very nice

  • wait r they just illegal in texas cuz i live in IA and they sell them here but i also bought a switchblade here but they r illegal in IA so ya sorry if its confuzing

  • @TheUV123 They are illegal to carry. You can own them but cannot carry them.

  • @edgedweapon88

ok thank u i might buy me one for christmas

  • @TheUV123 strange that its illegal in tx yet thats where it was made for the alamo

  • Is the technical definition of a bowie knife one with a blade over 5.5 inches? Because I looked up law ebladestore and it says "Texas - Health, Safety & Morals - 46.02. Unlawful carrying (6) "Illegal knife" means a: (A) knife with a blade over five and one-half inches;" I left some text out to make it fit. Maybe some officers would arrest people because it was a bowie knife even if it was legal like some do for knives that look manevelent (profiling) -Vincent

  • And yes,I said there there hahahahahaha

  • Texas knife laws are a fucking joke! I can get a permit(wich shouldnt be necessary under the constitution) to carry a firearm but I cant carry a knife that is over 51/2 inches even with the permit. These laws arent there to protect enyone, there there as a means to harrass citizens and the lawmakers who wrote them should be tried for treason!

  • That is one beautiful knife.

  • @streetmaster63 Thank you!

  • Wow! That is one beautiful knife. Love the case it sleeps in, Like a Knife coffin.

  • @thecajunblaze Thanks for watching Blaze!

  • If that thing wasn't to rare and special to ever be put to use, that thing would make a serious tool.

  • @EDCgearreviews It definitely would be!

  • You gonna buy one?

  • @VinnyS914 Yea I will probably end up getting one for myself!

  • @edgedweapon88 if that guy lent me that shit he'd never see it again.

  • Delaware in the house!! Yeah Willey Knives has some really nice stuff!!

  • @longnecker81 Yup they certainly do! Really nice people to work with also!

  • It's too bad that all of our constitutional rights are disappearing. People should not be made out to be criminals for carrying a weapon to protect their families and selves. It's absolutely pathetic! The only people disarmed by these laws are those who abide by the laws. The lawmakers that concocted these laws are traitors by their action of disassembling the constitution.

  • Did you feel like a museum curator while handeling that awesome knife? What a chunk of steel. It was hard to tell, was the finger guard made of brass?

  • @ud45 Yea I was trying to be extremely careful when I was touching it! The guard I believe is made from the same polished steel that the blade is. Thank you for watching!

  • Beautiful knife, Man! Thanks for the look!

  • stunning knife, great display box, glad you could share it with us

  • @thomassmyth65 Thanks for watching. I appreciate the comment!

  • Illegal knife....WTF!!!

    What makes it illegal?

  • @RDPproject My best guess would be because of its length and history. The Bowie knife has a notorious record of being used for illegal activity and violence. Most of that record comes from the late 1800's and early 1900's but unfortunately it still stand today.

  • @edgedweapon88 Wrong I live in Texas and it's illegal because they have a sharpenable upper swedge

  • @Knifemaster464 Thanks for the input. Why would Texas make a Bowie illegal if it has a swedge that is able to be sharpened when there are plenty of other knives like that out there. Is any knife with a swedge that can be sharpened illegal in Texas?

  • @edgedweapon88 yes every knife with more than one edge stilleto blades, daaggers.bowies all fall under this leaglity issue

  • @Knifemaster464 Wow thank you for the information. I was unaware that Texas had that law. In VA where I live you are able to carry any sized knife with multiple edges.

  • @edgedweapon88 Lucky

  • @edgedweapon88 Only openly though. I'm pretty sure concealing daggers and bowies is illegal in VA too. Mostly all fixed blades, unless you want to be a legal guinea pig. They prob wouldn't give you a hard time about most tiny neck knives, especially if you "un-conceal" them if given the chance, but the law specifically mentions dirks and bowies.

  • @wcropp1 Yes concealing daggers and bowies is illegal in VA. I only carry a fixed blade openly.. never concealed because like you said I would be at the mercy of the court.
