  • The opening lettering looks more like 1920.

  • on the field he was the greatest ever joe d!!!!!!!! he did it all and it is recognized by all his peers and thats what counts,,,personality he was aloof but he was a class act and the only man not to exploit marilyn .... a gentleman and a hero...

  • In response to the comments regarding Richard Cramer's - The Hero's Life - by 'Hoontasan' - I quote this review, of the same title., published in the Oct 29,2000 edition of the Halifax Herald - " Cramer insults his readers from the first chapter on; with short punchy sentences that are nothing more than personal fancies and are not (and at this late date, probably never CAN BE) proven with anything even resembling 'Objective Facts' "....... " A disappointing Hatchet Job....."

  • Read the book Joe DiMaggio: The Hero's Life by Richard Cramer. DiMaggio was unapproachable to anyone who could not (one way or another) feed his ego, increase his wealth, enhance his lifestyle, or protect his carefully crafted self-image. Dimaggio in a word was an asshole.

  • Awesome for me because the 1950 World Series was the first I saw on TV!! I remember the great Phillie Whiz Kids.

  • Who will win the 2009 version? Yanks or Phils?

  • @Chicago10281 The Yanks already won the 2009 version 6-7 Months ago
