probably because her own (or other's) lyrics make her cry... I can imagine... you have to be a really cold and senseless person if you don't feel a thing while you're singing a song with these words and rythm... she also is a not too bad actress, so? the tears were real, but she might have caused it (by thoughts or 'method') and it makes her performance very personal (sharing feelings) and special, wish I had been there, I think she is amazing!
