@JAKEHARRIS281 not exactly. a punch shot is hit to keep the ball flight very low (and sometimes short) but it is used when a tree limb or something like that could negatively effect the shot because it is interfering with the flight of the ball. a knockdown shot is just taking some distance off the ball and will usually have the same general ball flight, but will just travel a shorter distance.

they do have similarities in objectives and setup to the ball, but that's it.

punch shot doesnt go more than 30/40 yards off the ground knockdown is your normal swing and yards just it looks like the ball dives down when it get to the maximum height. Reducing backspin.punch is just hitting low
