Brings back memories. My wife and i went on a couple of those demo's at Hillgrove and found them truely inspirational. Credit due to every protester there because eventually, Hillgrove closed down.
Facist police bastards. On each Hillgrove protest the police caused much of the violence. They treated people like shit and acted all surprised when we gave them a good kicking.
Gracious. I thought that only in the US could people be that confrontational publically. Usually civic actions are not decided on the streets, but rather through the courts, and the media. I applaud their zeal but personally would not have participated in harassing policemen.
You point is well taken. Its sad but true. So far even human babies have limited rights when first born. Perhaps in the next hundred years mankind will grow up.

Sometimes you've got to make waves in order to rock the boat. Since animals are property by law, they've virtually no chance in a courtroom.
