This film is quite a gem and treasure about the relationships between a father and son, Frank and Zak Nelson, after the suicide death of the family matriarch. Zak blames himself as does Frank for her death. The father and son moments in the film are alone worth watching. Zak becomes withdrawn from his girlfriend and his friends as well as his father. He paints his room black to symbolize his mourning. It isn't until a life-changing experience that determines how to live after a family tragedy.

i found particular interest of him in Lost :) Benjamin Linus is one of my favourite characters in Lost, and Michael Emerson is one of my favourite actors...

i find it weird that Michael Emerson in an age of 54 haven't acted in more films already! i didn't even think he was 54, but he's born in 1954 Ô_Ô

He is an excellent actor Michael Emerson. I also discovered him through Lost as Benjamin Linus.

Michael Emerson began performing in community theater when he was around 32, earned his MFA when he was around 40 and got his big break in Broadway theater when he was around 43. He's only had a professional career for about 10 years and he's mostly into theater work, so that's why he hasn't been in a lot of films.
