  • Everyone forgot already of SF2?

  • i really hope that StarFox doesnt HAVE to end with the gay ass fucking ds

  • I remember NES was only 8 bit and Super NES was 16 bit, and the N64 is 64 bit graphics correct? Then what is the Nintendo gamecube and the Nintendo WII?

  • @scott231us

In the old days that was the bus width, as it was the biggest bit number. Towards the PSX/N64 era is when they gave processor bittage. The N64 was a true MIPS 64 bit processor, and that means the processor can address 64bits of memory at once, most of our current x86 processors are still 64bit.

  • SNES for President!

  • Whooaa help me! Annoying little frog... :)

  • 2:26 only if that would have happened on 9/11

  • Ich habe nie zuvor 64 starwing gesehen das ist ein gutes video aber die quali na ja

    ok

  • the title of this vid suggests theres some form of competition between the two ... theres no competition, starwing just plain owns starfox64, the graphics (although primitive) are much a much better style and easier to take seriously, the music is much more memerable and best of all slippy doesnt have a bloody voice...

  • I just LOVE Fox's voice in this game XD

  • Remember, when in doubt, do a barrel-roll.

  • lol never realised that they have f-zero sound effects in starfox, win win all round :)

  • @jonwackers10 What F-Zero sounds? I don't remember hearing any in this game.

  • why does the starwing game ruin music?the original was the real deal

  • starwing no contest

  • Falco was always bit grumpy in the SNES version, but did they have to make him a complete prick for the N64 version?

  • Man, they completely screwed up with Slippy's voice on N64 (and with many other things for that matter).

  • Why do these games still look good after so long and most 3D PS one games look so damn horrible? syphon filter is a prime example of an awesome game that's almost unplayable.

  • @raymod yeah but of you think of Soul Reaver, it was not so bad, but the worst game I think is the NHL series!

  • i love how you did maybe 20 barrel rolls for seemingly no good reason.

five out of five, if youtube still had a star system

  • Do a barrel roll!

  • question: was there no possibility to save the game in starfox??? that sucks!

  • I love this "Alarm" that plays while 0:39

  • Its hard to believe the SNES could have pulled that off.

  • i think you need a faster emulator :( you're playing the SNEs version at like 75% speed :O may i suggest snes9x :)

  • I prefer the graphics on the SNES version. N64 has really bad textures.

  • 7:13

    or not...

  • SNES is a classic, I find it more fun, it has better music, and the babble is more interesting than regular English, and person who talks whenever you get an upgrade makes it feel like your in the game.

N64 introduced "DO A BARREL ROLL"

    It's a tough decision.

  • STARFOX IN MY JUTH FOR EVER

  • "Hey look !"

I wonder if going under those gates do anything other than look cool.

  • starfox SNES is definately better. You cant beat the classsics :)

  • Slippy's voice is better in the Super NES version.

  • SNES wins.

  • I think Starfox 64 is better than the original Starfox. Reasons being for it's cinematic presentation, updated gameplay, and the addition of elements from the cancelled Starfox 2.

But I love both games. Both have their own strengths and Starfox 64 is an excellent remake that compliments the SNES original.

  • Personally, I always liked the original Star Fox a lot better than the 64 game. Although, a lot of it comes down to personal taste.

The SNES game had some much crazier/over the top levels in it and was a lot more difficult. Although, the 64 game was drastically more cinematic and dramatic in presentation. So, it felt more like an interactive action movie than just a crazy arcade shooter.

Although, either way, the SNES music definitely wins in all categories. :P

  • starfox 64 is better than starfox 1

  • Starfox (SNES) FTW

  • DO A BARREL ROLL!

  • no star fox game and I mean none of them tops StarFox64!

  • I love bothe games, but the 2nd one was better. the music of the first was better than the second though. they both are gr8 games

  • starfox SNES wins for the corneria stage

BECAUSE OF AWESOME MUSIC : D

  • N64 wins, it's just too epic.

  • 7:14 is the most epic part of this movie.

  • starwing for the win

  • the first starfox is better

  • First 3d snes game?

  • Yes, it's the first 3D game on SNES. ;)

    Thanks for all comments !

  • Nope, Race Drivin' came earlier, ;) (and Steel Talons?)

  • @Enarpilod Almost right about there. Super mario kart came befor this was release Bacasue the 3D graphics we'er only the tracks

  • race drivin came before and was a 3d snes game.

  • i admitt that the 64 has better look but it doesnt have the starwing corneria theme

  • hell yes. damn fucking straight

  • How can anyone say the n64 version, its all dark and murky and the music and sound effects are rubbish in comparison to the snes version

  • Lolwut. the n64 version is an incredibly vivid game. just because your friends got an n64 the same day you got a second hand snes off your mom doesn't mean you have to be all buthurt about it.

The Snes music was great for rocking out, but if you want atmosphere, you listen to the N64 one.

  • Its called an opinion faggot

  • Do you have a point? Most people know what an opinion is, you don't need to tell random strangers that you know what the word means.

  • Well obviously you know its a reply to your comment, in which you stated a load of bollocks about me just because I don't like the n64 version of a game. Maybe if you weren't so far up your own arse you'd realise people have opinions that differ to yours. So fuck off with your stupid replies I can't be arsed with you.

  • Calm down, this is over a video game, man.

  • n64

  • Hmm.. Have to stick with the N64 version, but the music on the SNES version kicks more ass though :P

  • Starfox 64 was better, better graphics, they actually put voice acting in, but they should have kept the awesome music from the SNES version...

  • starfox SNES WON

    btw: do a barrel roll

  • i have this on a real old snes console

  • Gotta love the blaster sfx! Pchew Pchew!

  • How could they have such awesome music on the Snes which had limited sound hardware and crap out with the sequal which was supposed to be capable of CD Quality sound?

First time i watched this i thought i heard Falco say "something's wrong with the pikachu!" - LOL

... Then i watched it again and realised it was G-Diffuser.

  • Here's my opinion.

While both had great gameplay, one has something better than the other:

    Starwing had better music.

Star Fox 64 had better graphics.

  • Hmm, never played the N64 version, think i like the SNES one better anyway.

What always amused me was how the SNES could do p[olygons like that and then the 5th gen consoles came out and the PS1 and Saturn used to have a kind of "Tearing" going on with their polygons.

  • where does the name StarWing come from.

  • Just the name for england, they thinked that name will sell more in britain.

  • do they change the name of other tittles or just starfox and starfox 64

  • After investigating a bit, I got that the name Starwing for england was only because of copyright issues, not marketing as I guessed first.

  • so starfox was changed to starwing and starfox 64 was called lylat wars becuse of copyright. did they chang adventures and assault too?

  • Slippy NEVER learned to shut up.

  • Yeah, but at least all you heard from him was:

    Slippy: Bidididabad

    Then Fox is like:

    Fox: Bayabbabiblahbadah

  • Peppy: DO A BARREL ROLL!

Fox: SHUT UP! IV'E HAD ENOUGH!

    *shoots Peppy down*

  • the original star fox was better... Fox was so badass that nobody had to tell HIM to do a barrel roll...

  • What does Fox said at 1:37?? :)

  • Twin Blasters

  • Twin Blasters

  • He said "twin blasters."

  • this corneria song is AWESOME! but star wolf n64 is AWESOMER!!!

and i think starfox 64 would win cause starfox 64 had done a barrel roll!

  • ok this is the first time i've ever noticed this but what the hell are those big block things in the snes version?

seriously, are they buildings? because if they are then arwings are freaking HUGEBOX!

  • In star fox 64 they make Peppy look like some kind of pig.

  • I couldn't find his ears, so I assumed he was some rhino

  • i see his ears but he looks like a donkey

  • I see a lot of ppl had commented about the original Corneria music sounding better than the N64 version. Here's a story:

The composer of the original Star Fox, Hajime Hirasawa, left Nintendo to form his own audio company (despite rave reviews of the OST), leaving the person who worked on the SFX and jingles, Koji Kondo, to take his place. Hajime Wakai co-composed with Kondo in StarFox 64/Lylat Wars as well.

Hirasawa may have done the music for Starfox 2/Starwing 2, but I wouldn't know...

  • It's called Starwing in the PAL region. So either or is correct.

  • Epic fail..

  • I prefer the Corneria theme in the SNES version, but the N64 version still has a ton of great music!

  • i liked the snes because there more fun and that my moms friend gave her game to me!

  • THE N64 VERSION IS BETTER

  • i like the music and how trippy the old game looked

  • im fine you ok over there fox?

  • I can't let you do that, Star Fox!

  • 7:14

  • It's a shame they never released StarFox 2 for the SNES with version 2 of the SuperFX chip. Instead we got Stunt Trax FX...

  • DO A MOTHER F*CKING BARREL ROLLLLL

  • i really hope they make a Star Fox game for the Wii...

  • @narutoroxoutloud Yeah, use the controller like a fighter jet, have first person view brought back too

  • i like the old corneria music better

  • Like all so-called 3D games, these graphics aren't exactly the best, but that just makes things better, it means it was a game of its age, you need to appreciate the past without living it to understand.

  • Andros? You mean the red Space Ranger? lol

But the N64 version of the game just doesn't mach the magic of the SNES version. Also, the SNES Corneria theme is so much better.

  • Hooray for the third dimension!

  • Gaming today has lost the magic that it once had in the SNES days. Star Fox still kicks the ass of today's games in gameplay.

  • 1. Wow!

    You rule at both games!

    2. At LylatWars, it looks TASsy, while it's not.

    3. It looks like you have sped up LylatWars a bit.

  • I'm pretty sure that opening conversation will be burned into my mind for the rest of my life.

    Ba-da-ba-da-da!

    Doom-in-da-dan-um!

    Dib-dib dib-dib!

    Winawing-curt-win-wing!

  • theres an enemy on your tail use the brakes!!! lol

  • i cant play in first person view its really hard

  • I liked the SNES version better. There weren't many 3D polygon games for the snes, which made this unique. Although a great game, Star Fox 64 didn't break any boundaries like that.

  • I probably souldn't match u in starwing but starfox 64? hohoho! THAT'S JUST MY GAME!!!

  • DO A BARREL ROLL

  • those were great graphics for its time am i right?

  • i used to play the SNES starfox all the time as a little kid.

When i first played the N64 version, i was like HOLYYY SHITTTTTTTT!

  • Slippy, watch out!

  • isn't the first game called starfox? I have the super nintendo and the game, its called starfox

  • starwing is the european name of starfox because a game for another platform already had that name and so starfox 64 is called lylat wars in the EU

  • oh, ok thanks

  • the starwing corneria music is just too epic

  • ah you have to love the classic games

    Star fox FTW!

  • when i use the A.V adaptor from my game cube on my n64 it make the picture and sound better quality but how do you get the characters voises to become clearer??

  • YOu'll never defeat Andross!

  • "DO A BARREL ROLL!" XDD

I wish I played this years ago

  • memories...

  • omg first person mode @ 6:25... i cant play in that mode.... i cant see anything... cant shoot anything, and if i do a barrel roll idk where the fuck im at...

    STARFOX64 FTW!!!!

but what dosent make sence is that ur compairing "Starwing" and "Starfox64" ... it should either be "Starwing" and "Lylat Wars" or "Starfox" and "Starfox64" unless u used a ROM from a diff area (i can tell SF64 was emulated cause the exploson at the end didnt lag like normal... plus... nvm...)

  • incoming enemy from the rear

  • "Drop Altitude!"

  • "Take this, enemy brute!"

No comment... Or at least no Halo comment.

  • you guys dont change the name still these days do ya?

  • the PAL version didnt have voices it just had an annoying noise

  • so many memories from playing this game

  • 1103

  • starwing: hard (+3) sick ass songs (+5) black hole (+1) slot machine thingy (+1) cool team (+2) total 12 lylat wars: tank (+3) voice(+2) slippy (help me fox im shiiit!) (-5) multi paths (+3) fuckin absolutly sick ass area 6 (+10) total: 13
  • Lol!

It's right! (slippy, heeeelp -_- *headshot*)
