  • Hi

I have just seen your historical pictures of Burnley on Youtube they have so many memories for me. I wondered if you have any of these copied onto DVD that I may buy from you.

I am just a lady with an interest in Burnley history and would in no way copy or use them for any other purpose than personal viewing.

    thank you

  • I was born in Burnley (1972) a bit after the footage!, and now live in Northamptonshire, but its all fascinating footage.......... keep it coming.

  • Thankyou Briercliffe for the lovely old burnley photos and music. It is lovely to take a

    glimpse into the past...

I was wondering if you have any photos taken outside the alamo restaurant, downstairs was the old el greco. I believe the road is called gunsmith place.

I lived in burnley many years ago and I would love to see some photos of the

    Alamo Restaurant.

    Thankyou

    Thankyou.

  • is there a footage of reedley or brierfield

  • @shabzbad - I don't think you will find pics of Reedley or Brierfield in this video, but you can find some photo's of Brierfield in my video called "Postcards of old Burnley and neighborhood".

  • is there a footage of reedley or brierfield

  • some very recognisable areas there and a lot of them were before my grandmother was born. She was born in 1908. Very interesting. Thank you.

  • StefromBurnley, check out "Garden party in Towneley, Burnley (c.1900)" It can be found on youtube

  • Steph, there are lots of local images under the "photo archive" at the Briercliffe society website.

  • Yeah, been having a look through. Absolutely enthralling. Do you know of any old cine footage knocking around, I'd love to see some. Thanks by the way.

  • Also, dont forget to watch my other film "Burnley people" - I have lots of other Burnley photos so I will make another film soon.

  • The Lane at 2:04 - I'd love to know where that is. It reminds me of Burnley Road Hapton.

  • Stef, this is Little Cornwall, Back Lane, Burnley, circa 1900 (the area is now known as Rossendale Rd. and the houses in photo - long demolished - were in the area of Griffin Farm, across from the cemetery).

  • Wow, really?! Know you mention it, I recognise it now. Amazing.
