  • that is nasty

  • GROSS.

  • wow! how did i get to this page!

  • It's funny how parents can indoctrinate their child to do just about anything. It's how Christianity works. This mother is making sure her daughter doesn't end up vegetarian.

  • Wow you're daughter is going to get cancer before she's 25. She already looks like an 80 year-old midget.

  • @JohnathanPozzi What makes you think she'll have cancer?

  • @ApacheBoneknife Eating meat, especially raw meat, causes cancer and accelerates the aging process. I'm vegan by the way.

  • @JohnathanPozzi I don't condone eating raw meat, but every study that has shown meat causes cancer have included processed meats. None have been done on fresh, unprocessed meat exclusively. There is nothing to back the anti-ageing claim. Grass fed meat actually contains CLA, which is an anti-ageing nutrient.

  • i hope your kid likes tapeworms

  • she is going to get food poisoning and have worms in her stomach thats not good

  • best parent ever.

  • Eating meat starves the world.

    Eating meat kills animals.

    Eating meat causes pollution.

    Eating meat kills people.

  • @UmbreonAndEspeon1 eating meat tastes awesome

  • It's not hard for her to chew the raw meat? Isn't raw meat chewey?

  • @Rawperuana Not at all actually. It's much easier to digest too. Grass-fed, pastured meats are leaner so there isn't much fat either.

  • @ieatrealfood thanks! I get 100% grass fed steak that is semi local and I cook it medium rare. It's very pink on the inside after being in the oven for a bit. The texture is super chewy. What kind of meat do you recommend to it raw and semi-raw?

  • @Rawperuana Hmm maybe it's still being cooked too much, mine is usually cool or warm and red in the middle. I also just broil it for a few mins on each side. Ground beef and any tender cuts should be fine too - tenderloin, or tri tip for instance.

  • @ieatrealfood what temperature do you broil at??

  • haha great kid.

  • Eewww

  • i'd just be worried about contamination of ecoli and salmonella, there a risk with modern slaughtering practices that the meat is festering with bugs that could possibly be harmful, the meat industry presumes the consumer is going to cook the meat therefore making it safe for consumption so they do not worry about feces or pus fill cysts or parasites that might be in the beef tissue, nor are the cows very well maintained in high intensive farming, but she is your child so feed her as you wish.

  • she's not even afraid of food poisoning DAMN!

  • Wow so many negative comments. I'm guessing no one reads your blog and/or the link you provided and/or knows anything about real food and the human body.

Raw meat is so delicious and easy to digest. I think it's great that Evelyn likes it plain too, I love it plain or with a pinch of salt and pepper the best.

As much as I love veggies, nothing beats a slice of bloody beef from a healthy pastured cow. :::droool:::

  • @ieatrealfood Ignorant bastard! Havent you been in health class!! Eating raw meat can kill you!!

  • @XRosaBabeX Be careful how you throw around the term ignorant. Care to explain to me how eating raw meat can kill you?

  • @ieatrealfood Look it up dumb fuck cuz i know if i tell you, you"ll be to ignorant to listen to me. Go to the doctor and tell him/her your eating raw meat and he/she will slap you in the face what the fuck are you doing!

  • Excuse my ignorance, but arent you afraid she'll get sick?

  • @areYouSerious41 From what I understand, she shouldn't as long as the mom is careful where she gets the meat. Search "Raw meat diet" and something about "extreme health trends" should come up. And there a man will talk about his experience with a raw meat diet. He's not the only one, raw meat dieters are all over youtube.

  • Nothing wrong with it imo lol Before cavemen had fire they had to eat their meat raw.

  • Anyone actually following the views of the Primal Parent knows about her meat selection. Condemnation of any parenting styles before actual knowledge thereof is ridiculous.Thumbs up from me.

  • She probably likes it because she doesn't have to chew. Most toddlers don't like to chew meat.

  • It's steak tartare. Many countries eat them raw or rare.

  • @LaoSoftware even steak tartar is marinated in lemon juice or vinegar and spices, thus slightly "cooking" the meat via chemical reaction, and killing off some unwanted bugs.

nothing wrong with marinating in lemon juice, i do it with my tuna steaks and salmon all the time.

  • Let me remind you of somethings that we used to do for tens of thousands of years; human sacrifice, genocide, drowned old women because they were perceived as witches, denied biracial marriages, slavery, etc. Yet, we survived thousands and thousands of years. Does that make those practices legitimate? Your case is invalid and you are putting your child at risk. People died of old age where as of now 40 years old is not even middle aged anymore, that is because they cook their beef.

  • @rmisionero I'd love to know where you get your facts from. You honestly think that people live to be older than 40 because we cook our meat?

First of all, it's a myth that people used to be savages who raped, sacrificed and killed and only lived to be 40. Second, how many of these people over 40 are on medication? How many of them suffer from chronic inflammatory diseases, tooth decay, obesity, diabetes, etc? Quality of life can't be ignored.

  • @ieatrealfood You want facts? I will give you facts.

According to the National Center for Health Statistics, National Vital Statistics Report, the average life expectancy in 1930 was 59.7, as in 2010, it is 78.7. For a black, it was 48.1 Source:cdc.g o v/nchs

Moctezuma II, the last Aztec king had priests who did human sacrifice yearly. source: aztec-indians.c o m/aztec-religion.h t m l

Mostly this is common knowledge. So where do you get your facts from?

  • @rmisionero That doesn't back up your claim that we live longer because we cook our meat. I also didn't realize that because Moctezuma threw some people over a cliff that every culture did. Yes, there were some savage, sacrificial cultures, but this was hardly the norm.

  • @ieatrealfood It is the norm. In the United States, we have strange beliefs that resulted in the shortened life of people, like blood letting, healing by faith, etc. The Salem Witch trials, and mass genocide that Americans caused to the Native Americans, and also slavery, as well as persecutions. The same was said about the foods we ate, like tomatoes. Also the herbs that we used like marijuana and cocaine. The point is that people have strange beliefs that may not be sound.

  • @rmisionero Strange point to make seeing as it doesn't back up your claim at all... which is that raw meat is bad.

  • @rmisionero Good point, but tomatoes aren't really that good for you, especially wild ones. They are part of the nightshade family and can be very poison. Store bought, manufactured ones cause arthritis and other joint issues over time.

  • @ieatrealfood Also, they didn't have medical advances to diagnose people and often did more harm than good. The doctors in the Civil War did more damage to patients than the war itself.

There is a reason why we cook our meat: to kill bacteria and any potential parasites that may inhabit the flesh. We get our meat from stores and they get their meat from distribution centers. The same principle from the Civil War applies here: the knife was passed around too many times w/o hygiene

  • @rmisionero Life expectancy is also an average. Just because it was more common for people to not live past 60, does not mean that no one did. The ones who did, were probably also a lot healthier than most 70-80 year olds today who are on medication or suffer with other chronic conditions.

As far as meat, when you eat meat that is from a clean farm and a healthy animal that was handled properly, there is not much to worry about. A healthy immune system will kill harmful pathogens

  • @ieatrealfood Averages are the only way we can accurately guess trends. You can't use only the healthiest, because the healthiest is a very small percentage that affects no one but themselves. Smoking causes cancer, we know that, but George Burns lived to be 100 years old and smoked cigars regularly, and he died from heart failure, not lung cancer or emphysema. Some people are built better and thus live longer. A healthy immune system doesn't cure trichinosis or salmonella. Sorry.

  • @rmisionero The problem here is that people think Peggy is feeding her daughter grocery store, conventionally raised meat.. there is such a big difference that people are missing. The nutritional quality and prevalence of dangerous bacteria are not the same in the two.

It's like comparing bananas and race cars.

  • Comment removed

  • I hope you have prepared that yourself because if you knew what the meat industry put in it and processed it with, you would not feed it to your dog, much less a precious child that you care about.

If she died from something in it, you would sue the meat producer and take no responsibility yourself.

  • @tiagilbert9 If you took the time to educate yourself before commenting, you would see that she does not eat conventionally raised meat.

  • What about E Coli?

  • @xzuvqz it is safe to eat raw beef.we could eat a raw steak if we wanted to. nothing stunning here just a lil disgusting. there is very little risk of ecoli from beef. if she was eating raw chicken then that would be another story. no need to cook beef products. we do it though because we a civilized people.

  • Wow. That is soooo bad for your poor child. I feel sorry for her.

  • BACK TOO YOUR CAVE MAN ROOTS!! BEFORE YOU MOTHERFUCKERS DISCOVERED FIR LOL!!!

  • this just made me ralph

  • Aww, she's just like me. Yay!

  • ... WTF? She has a high probability to die young, because she eats it raw (and all meat we buy from stores are "oldered"... They aren't from a just killed a moment ago animal)

  • Yeah... and it carrys tape worms and all other kinds of parasites too.

  • Now I feel quite sick.

  • TATS CRAZY

  • thats crazy

  • Is her name Hannah by chance?

  • @cosmicupcake Oh god... I would hope it's not CAFO beef.

@PrimalParent I agree with you about the raw milk. I buy mine from a local grass fed farm and it's just great. Nothing quite like a delicious glass of whole raw jersey cow milk in the morning/evening. Way better than that ultra pasturized, hormone riddled, puss filled, skimmed, dead, so called milk water you get at the supermarket. Wouldn't you say?

  • @jgruberaz We're not carnivores. And there is no other animal on the planet like us, we are unique. No other animal on the planet has the intelligence or the ability to cook their meat. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't do it. Basically I'm saying your arguement is not valid.

  • That is SO cute! TeeHee!

  • O_O I like rare hamburgers but um idk about this. Good little girl!!!

  • If anyone can find me some other animal other than homo erectus that cooks meat, let me know. Seems like it's been works for every other carnivore for millions of years. It's all about prep and lack of contamination.

  • creo que voy a bomitar...

  • I have eaten raw hamburger all my life, since I was a little child, I'm 56 now. I especially like raw hamburger when I have it all mixed up to make a meat loaf. But I also like to just take a pound of it and season it up well and just eat it that way. People think I am gross for eating raw meat and it is such a pleasure to find out that there are others like me in the world. :-)

  • Beautiful ladies tend to be meat lovers, even a young one :))

  • was she not sick

    after

  • I'm pretty sure you can die from eating raw meat. But your kids ADORABLE

  • @MsGerbler it matters what farm you get your meat from i eat raw meat and i am really healthy. dont eat raw meat that have been hormone fed. always eat grass fed meat

  • @yoleeisbored thanks, but I'm not going to eat raw meat period. LOL :PI just thought so because I wathed a show once and it was called "My Strange Addition" and the guy ate cheap raw meat, and so yea. I'm glad I watched this so now I know :D

  • @MsGerbler ,Many people have died from eating raw meat, to name a few its full of dangerous parasites and a diseases that acts like alzheimer's

  • I've been vegetarian for 3 years and vegan for about 1 of those years, but am now seriously considering the paleo diet. Now my main hurdle is overcoming psychological qualms about eating meat. However I have gotten over my disgust of eating eggs :) I love your blog, by the way!

  • @MouthOfTheUnknown check out this website, google letthemeatmeat. It' all interviews with ex vegans.

  • shes cute =)

  • I've had raw beef, but only when they are dry of blood and fresh. Add in sesame oil, salt, pepper, and and in a egg yolk, mix them together and it's quite good. Again... it has to be fresh... none of those packaged beef that's been sitting in the market. Had this in a Korean restaurant, and it was expensive as hell... $25 was gone in several bites, but it was so good.

  • @SinnerJ oh my whole family is south korean the farms in korea are very clean and the farmers dont feed hormones to their livestock and the huge problems with eating livestock in america is that the cows, pigs, and chickens are crammed into small cages causes diseases to spread quickly and slaughterhouses in america is not clean they leave poop lying on the floor

  • @yoleeisbored Not sure about the livestock conditions, but I only go to places I trust to have raw beef. And I also found out that the equivalent in the West is Beef/Steak Tartar.

  • PS: How about trying raw minced 'belly pork' I find it tastes even better than beef, actually it's going to be part of my dinner later on, YUMYUM!

  • I eat minced ox heart, daily! More nutritious than the other muscle meats and cheaper as well, try it, you'll never look back!

  • GROSS!!!

  • my stomach

  • I agree with her. Raw tastes better. This vid makes me want to give up vegetarianism.

  • @wildgift2 YEAH F*** YOU TOO!!!

  • Thats grapefruit!

  • another dumb blonde

  • Wow.

Now that's NOT a picky kid.

  • I had beef tartare yesterday mmmm was so good, dont listen to these idiots nothing is wrong with eating raw beef once in a while, if it's clean, lean and a high grade cut. BTW your daughter is so cute god bless both of you :)

  • Raw milk has been a staple food for very healthy traditional peoples for tens of thousands of years (about 30,000 is the thinking). While it can exacerbate immune problems in some people who've grown up eating a modern diet, it is a very nutritious, healing food. If you tolerate it well and can get your hands on it, then use it by all means use it.

  • what u think about raw milk?

  • I hope to have kids like this lol.

  • Eating CAFO beef at all would be gross!

Funny that a vegan might consider raw beef more disgusting than cooked. It's just a bit closer to live maybe? Not sure about the logic there.

  • And queue the vegan disgust and horror comments in 5, 4, 3, 2,...

  • @bubbaj30 I bet more people will be outraged that it's raw... you know, thinking that it is CAFO beef. Now THAT would be gross, haha.
