@oneSZIK I have this camera and it IS HD. Go to the settings while in video and set the resolution to 720.

Last time I checked, 720p is HD.

Great zoom, but try to use the image stabilizer, while videorecording. It gives much better zoom effects :-)

If I lived in Texas, that's where I'd live. I've been there once when I worked for AMD. Looks like the skyline is really shaping up.

The video is great except the IS is a bit shakey . It almost seems as if... its not enough "IS" to actualy matter. For the Picture , taking...Manual Mode is best, safely said and done so...do to the fact that it starves for focus reseting on the half-way button.

Is it possible to turn off autofocus? I can't figure it out and sometimes when I zoom in too much, it focuses on the wrong thing. Also, is there a way I can manually focus?

@SSTrueLoveMarinus I think if you hit the manual focus button, then use the wheel to set your feet it should work.

I actually used ProShow Gold to put this together, which is more of a slideshow program than a video editor, but is easy for quick stuff and looks great on youtube.

Yes it does, which is good and bad as it can jump around in certain situations.

nice, you should get the 3.5 optical lens because after 20x it uses digital zoom and thats why the guy was kind of blurry

yeah, this was my first time out with it. i actually disabled digital zoom almost immediately after shooting this.

How good is the battery life on this camera, my dad disaproves of it because it uses AA's instead of lithium ions.

I like AAs. The alkalines aren't going to last long, but you can pick them up anywhere. AA NiMH batteries are common place and will have a decent "life". If they run out of juice, you can easily find some alkalines, or better yet, carry couple fo AA lithium cells (non rechargeable) for emergencies. They have a 10 year shelf life and a good "use" life. Maybe they should have designed the SX20 to hold 2 CR-V3 lithium ion packs or 4 AAs. Then everyone would be happy.

The AA's do have their advantages but I want to know how long the batteries last until they are out of power for example 4 hours.

I'm still on the factory batteries after taking about 450 stills and 20 minutes of HD video. Haven't gotten any messages about low batteries yet.

Well I got the Camera and it is much better than I expected, unfortunately I already went through the factory batteries during the first week. (I didnt count the number of pictures or video)
