@Pyro25100 shadow is not the prototype, the bio-lizard is. play the final episode in sonic adventure 2 and when you face the final 2 bosses read the subtext under the the boss name. it says "The Bio-Lizard, Protype of the ultimate lifeform. then it becomes The Final Hazard in the second battle (you know, w/ supersonic and supershadow?). also in the anime sonic x, sonic uses his own powers w/ the chaos emeralds against the metarex a lot of times.
He was probably more emo in that game than any other but his own. He was most tolerable in Heroes, where the story didn't care about him for some reason despite bringing him back.
Sonic always has been, still is and always will be the best character in any game in the entire world ever period. any game sonic is in its automatically better than any call of duty game better than any halo or anything and everything.

@gunman30001 The reason is, while Microsoft and Sony may be being persistent and keep making FPS's, they fail to rejuvenate the merely-10-year-old concept, while Nintendo perfectly rejuvenates the 30-year-old (starting with Donkey Kong) concept each and every time, adding creative twists to the concept, while Sega keeps the overall gameplay, while creating a different concept every time.

Although Nintendo and Sega were the biggest rivals in the universe then, eventually, Sega lost the battle and surrendered, but Nintendo gladly accepted friendship with Sega! Eventually, with Nintendo's help, Sega came back strong with Sonic Colors and such!
Meanwhile, while Microsoft and Sony may be displaying gamesmanship, they show persistence, not giving up and going on.

But when any team teams up with Nintendo, they make Nintendo look like Gods. Capcom made MC, an epic game, and treet Fighters 1 and 2. Square Enix gave us 1-6, 12 Revenant wings and of course, spin offs. They also gave us Dragon Quest. 5th Cell gave us Scribble nauts and drawn to live. I love sonic and consider myself and Mario and Sonic Fanboy but Sonic hasnt been on the top of his game lately though colors was the best in the long time so the only reason someone could think Mario games are more fun than Sonic games is because on average they are.
@Lawyered18 First off I never specifically mentioned 06 or SMG specifically. Second, the rest of the modern games (excluding SA1 and 2) have nothing in common with the gameplay, voice acting, graphics, etc. of 06, and 06 is the ONLY example people seem to use. Third, personally I enjoy Sonic more than Mario because Sonic has speedy, action packed gameplay and Mario jumps on stuff (except when he gets a power-up). Last, I think Unleashed was more of a step in the right direction.

@Spongetomic Yeah I guess that's true. And Sonic Unleashed game me a realm challenge I played it after 2 in a half years I still haven't completely mastered it. The new Sonic games these days do have good challenges. And Sonic Unleashed gameplay kept me interested for a while to come now..... I've been playing since the trailers since 2007. So yeah I think Unleashed is more fun than Galaxy I think its because Mario is moving a bit slow for us.
@pinhead2778 The speed and overall gameplay in Unleashed to me was the saving point for the games. The boost was nearly pointless in Colors, though, since most of the game was 2D platforming. I really think Generations will even it out and create the best formula for the rest of the games to follow (unless a better idea comes up, which then it would probably have to be expiremented with in a trial and error sort of fashion)

@Lawyered18 Colors was very fun and very exciting, but too much of the game was 2d platforming and Sonic didn't feel as fast as he was in Unleashed. At least Generations is coming out so there can be a 50/50 of 3D running and 2D platforming to give everybody some of what they want in a Modern Sonic game. And by your same logic, the only reason someone could think Sonic games are more fun than Mario games is because on average they are.

I think Classic Sonic had different taste in music then Modern/SA Sonic.
I think when he started to grow he took an interest to rock.
Not to say that rock is bad or anything, but it's wild how radically different Sonic music is now compared to the old days.

@gunman30001 The reason is, while Microsoft and Sony may be being persistent and keep making FPS's, they fail to rejuvenate the merely-10-year-old concept, while Nintendo perfectly rejuvenates the 30-year-old (starting with Donkey Kong) concept each and every time, adding creative twists to the concept, while Sega keeps the overall gameplay, while creating a different concept every time.

Although Nintendo and Sega were the biggest rivals in the universe then, eventually, Sega lost the battle and surrendered, but Nintendo gladly accepted friendship with Sega! Eventually, with Nintendo's help, Sega came back strong with Sonic Colors and such!
Meanwhile, while Microsoft and Sony may be displaying gamesmanship, they show persistence, not giving up and going on.

I love sonic and consider myself and Mario and Sonic Fanboy but Sonic hasnt been on the top of his game lately though colors was the best in the long time so the only reason someone could think Mario games are more fun than Sonic games is because on average they are.

@Lawyered18 First off I never specifically mentioned 06 or SMG specifically. Second, the rest of the modern games (excluding SA1 and 2) have nothing in common with the gameplay, voice acting, graphics, etc. of 06, and 06 is the ONLY example people seem to use. Third, personally I enjoy Sonic more than Mario because Sonic has speedy, action packed gameplay and Mario jumps on stuff (except when he gets a power-up). Last, I think Unleashed was more of a step in the right direction.

@Lawyered18 I've played SMG and almost 100% it, but I got bored with it and never finishing it. I don't hate Mario, but I don't enjoy the games anymore. And just because Mario games score better doesn't mean they ARE better, that's just those people's opinions. I mean have you seen IGN's review of Unleashed? The guy playing was F***ing TERRIBLE! And he blamed it all on the game. At one point he jumped over a dash ramp into a bottomless pit that you can't miss, and he said it was the game's fault

@Spongetomic Yeah I guess that's true. And Sonic Unleashed game me a realm challenge I played it after 2 in a half years I still haven't completely mastered it. The new Sonic games these days do have good challenges. And Sonic Unleashed gameplay kept me interested for a while to come now..... I've been playing since the trailers since 2007. So yeah I think Unleashed is more fun than Galaxy I think its because Mario is moving a bit slow for us.

@pinhead2778 The speed and overall gameplay in Unleashed to me was the saving point for the games. The boost was nearly pointless in Colors, though, since most of the game was 2D platforming. I really think Generations will even it out and create the best formula for the rest of the games to follow (unless a better idea comes up, which then it would probably have to be expiremented with in a trial and error sort of fashion)

@Lawyered18 Colors was very fun and very exciting, but too much of the game was 2d platforming and Sonic didn't feel as fast as he was in Unleashed. At least Generations is coming out so there can be a 50/50 of 3D running and 2D platforming to give everybody some of what they want in a Modern Sonic game. And by your same logic, the only reason someone could think Sonic games are more fun than Mario games is because on average they are.
