Just a heads up, resting your pinky agaisnt the guitar is a really bad habit. If you want to ever play classical or even acoustic this will alter your sound

@Huamanity actually, it's called anchoring your pinky, and it's a very good technique to avoid "gypsy picking", which is when you don't anchor your pinky and your picking hand kind of floats around, which makes you hit the wrong string a lot of the time when you're playing single notes.
