Anyone see the remake of this movie with Colin Farrell? I haven't seen it yet, but I have the inclination it's not as good as the original.  Seems in my experience most original movies usually are the best. Chris Serandon was awesome in this. He was also a very cool looking vampire too. Quite the ladies man.

@Sennanchie I have seen the remake, and actually I think Colin Farrell did a pretty good job playing Jerry. But I have to say the original in my opinion will always be the best. Even though the remake was not too bad but still.

Loved this film when it was released in the UK. Sarandon was the coolest yet most evil vampire at the time.Haven't yet seen the remake,not sure I'm gonna bother 'cause a) I can't bear Colin Farrell & b) the original was spot-on.Besides which,CGI goes into over-kill in films nowadays which just makes today's films rather 'samey'.

I actually just got done watching the Remake and it's the best remake of a horror film so far. Colin Farrell is a BEAST in it. Great acting. McLovin as Vampire, what more could you wnat???

Love this movie. Great story, convincing acting, and stellar music score. I remember when I was 15 and meeting Chris Sarandon. He was such a gentleman, and very charming. But I was incredibly nervous meeting him, unitentionally I came off sounding like a pyscho goob. Even telling him blantly that he was sexy in the film. I still pinch my eyes in embarrassment.

I really liked this guys performance as the vampire. like i genuinely got the impression that he was some kind of rapist (which is what a vampire is supposed to represent anyway). overall, i hope colin farell can give that impression off in the remake (assuming its good)

You know, back in the 1980's, when I was just a teen, I'd stay up all night quietly watching HBO for just that scene! Teens have it so easy these days.....I remember a kid in the 5th grade selling pages from a magazine he stole from his dad for .25 cents a piece. Crazy.

Btw, I also remember stuff like that happening when I was a kid..lol. This one boy used to sell cigarettes out in back of the school at recess & lunch for a quarter a piece..lol.
