This is incredibly informative, I will have to look into this a lot more. It looks like i could use this principal a lot more in my everyday life. not necessarily fighting, but more about how you approach a new challenge mentally :) Thank you very much :)
@alexbaxthedarkside, that is why we practice this way! not only do we see the benefit should we encounter physical aggression, but it gives us much insight into the dynamics of our personal relationships and our day to day dealings with common strangers. I am happy if our exploration resonates with you!
@riveraluciano Except for our beginning students we all came from training in the technique emulation model. The problem with that teaching methodology is that it essentially ignores the nature of attack. When we get realistic attacks (from the aspect of intention) we are then more able to learn how takemusu aiki manifests out of harmonizing with them.
I hope we will be able to train together soon! Thank you for your comment.
Wow so inspiring!

this is a beautiful way to train aikido
i don't intend to disrespect my sensei (i love him, the guy is 100% heart to us), but this is really the way to understand aikido i think.
If i ever had the chance to be in one of your class, i'll gladly do so. Thank you
